Doing a cool thing for a serviceman
TOTALLY NOT HALO-4-RELATED... but very cool nonetheless. Jason Cheng is a US Marine who was deployed to Afghanistan when Halo Fest happened in Seattle last summer... but his buddies brought a picture of him to the event, and included it in a series of photos they took, so that he could 'be there in spirit'. Someone from 343 noticed the shenanigans, and asked some questions.... then took the picture back to the studio and got it signed by the crew. When Jason returned home recently, he found a montage of the (signed) picture shots waiting for him... along with a whole bunch of goodies put together by 343. Awesome!

The Flood Begins
Over at Metacafe, an interview with Frank O'Connor (done by OXM's Ryan McCaffrey) was posted a bit early - it went live at 3am, ET (about 6 hours before the embargo was to lift). It contains some Halo 4 multiplayer footage, and some critical information (no public Halo 4 Beta, for example) - go watch! (Louis Wu 14:01:31 UTC) (permalink)
FUD's Halo 4 Reveal Hub
Today's the day the Halo 4 news embargo related to last week's Spring Showcase ends; we should see a flood of Halo 4 content, beginning in a couple of hours. We'll do our best to keep up, but Grim's got jury duty this morning, and I'm in and out of the office - we might get behind. Over at Forward Unto Dawn, Dani's set up a Halo 4 Reveal Hub - it might be the best place for an overview of what's come out! (That said, I'll try really hard to make sure you don't need them. :) )

Sterling Hundley's take on Halo
Postmortem ran across a piece of Halo concept art created by illustrator Sterling Hundley - it's unclear whether this was commissioned by MS/Bungie, or whether it's just fan art... but it's pretty interesting! (Louis Wu 12:03:19 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Mylar Prints
Things are probably going to get insane later today - but for now, let's clear out what's currently on our forum. Yesterday, Fon462 mentioned that there are a bunch of new Halo Mylar prints on eBay - a little searching showed this to be true. If you're looking for cool artwork and you missed these when Bungie was selling them... here's another chance. (Louis Wu 12:01:42 UTC) (permalink)
