Play Games for Science! Goose Checka let us know that she's looking to harvest the contents of your brain for her doctoral dissertation. (You didn't know she was working on a doctorate? YEAH, SHE'S SMART.) The survey has a bunch of questions about your gaming habits and personality. Yeah, it'll take you a little while... but don't worry, she knows you value your time, and she's got 4 Amazon gift cards ($60 each) to give away to random survey responders! Not too shabby. All you need is to be 18 years old, and to have a Raptr account (if you don't have one, she even provides you a link to set one up - they're free). Go help do science! Forge Puzzle Solutions - plus comics! pete_the_duck has released a solution video to his recent Forge Puzzle - he shows off some of the clever ways fans came up with to unravel this conundrum. Fantastic stuff! (While you're on his site, check out the two Valentines comics we neglected to mention last week: My Floaty Valentine, and
It was a test and you flunked it. I gotta ask... what's a duck doing dating bacon, anyway?) (Louis Wu 02:21:55 UTC) (permalink)

Reach system, modeled
Andrew Hoehne was playing around with Universe Sandbox - and decided to do some Halo system modeling. He threw in real-world information about the Epsilon Eridani system, then added Reach... and took some pictures. Cool stuff!

A Reed for the Saved
So this weekend, we mentioned the latest Oboe Scores, a series of short videos by OboeCrazy wherein Halo gameplay is set to live oboe music, a combination that works WAY better than you might guess. Now that was #5 in the series - and last month, we linked to #1, #2, and #3 - astute readers will notice there's an episode missing. #4, entitled 'Dramatic Rescue', was released last week, while I was in the (internet) wilds of southern Florida... but just think, it means you get to watch it now!

Hugs!
Last week, for Valentines Day, Halo Waypoint released three very cool eValentines images created by community artists. The last one on the page was from one of our favorites, Luke McKay - and interestingly enough, Luke had created what he called a 'doodle' the day before, which I actually liked better. We've posted it in our Luke McKay gallery - enjoy! (Louis Wu 01:56:52 UTC) (permalink)
