Making sure your word gets out Just a quick note - if you have Halo news you want us to post in the next few days, you should either post it in our forum, or mail it to halo@bungie.org; if you send it anywhere else, it'll likely be missed until next week. You've been warned! (Louis Wu 17:51:12 UTC) (permalink)
Keeping Busy Today's episode of Another Halo Comic Strip is again from Keith Jones - and not only is it clever, but the art is spectacular. Go check it out! (Louis Wu 21:44:17 UTC) (permalink)
Halo 3 ModTage
Hawty McBloggy noticed a Halo 3 ModTage on YouTube - a collection of Halo 3 mods, from a variety of sources. The soundtrack is entirely dumpable; play the movie silent, and you'll be happier. Mod work's pretty impressive, though! (Louis Wu 16:25:56 UTC) (permalink)
Perceptions
Dennis Powers let us know that Shipwrecked 23 is up - folks aren't always what they seem... (Louis Wu 16:22:21 UTC) (permalink)
The Riot 101
Sigafoos sent word that The Riot 101 is now up - 21 minutes, 8.5 mb of Halo, Pokemon (yes, Pokemon), and Halo. Go listen! (Louis Wu 12:19:25 UTC) (permalink)
Owning IP even after you sell it
Seattle Post-Intelligencer blogger 8bitjoystick has an interview with Marty O'Donnell, recorded last week (also available at 8BitJoystick.com) - lots of discussion about intellectual property, why the split with MS happened, and what they're thinking about going forward. Halo (not surprisingly) is mentioned a few times. (Louis Wu 11:56:00 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Babies back up for downloading
mrsmiley wrote to say that the Halo Babies comics are back online (apparently, they'd disappeared for a bit), and if you chose, you can download all the strips in a single archive. Go read more details at halobabies.net! (Louis Wu 09:04:12 UTC) (permalink)
DixieLAN - first thoughts
Ma1agate was the first attendee to speak up, but a recent LAN party hosted by pooberry saw a number of HBO regulars partaking in activities as diverse as playing Halo, eating Tijuana Mamas, and drinking Dave's Ultimate Insanity (or not, in Mintz's case). sorahn took some pictures, and pooberry himself will be adding a writeup in the next couple of days. Sounds like a good time! (Louis Wu 09:01:59 UTC) (permalink)
Number One with a Whip
A few months ago, we mentioned a plan by Universal music to find some monks to record an album, after Halo's theme song revved up the public demand for chanting. Apparently, they succeeded - and the album is climbing the European charts as we speak. Thanks, Anton P. Nym. (Louis Wu 08:58:22 UTC) (permalink)
It's a double-great feeling
Rockslider found a way to double your Arbiter fun on Covenant - go read about it at Bad Cyborg if you want to battle your way through with two sidekicks. (Louis Wu 08:51:49 UTC) (permalink)
A friendlier home for panoramas
nomis78 stopped by to point out that all of his panoramas have been organized on a Wordpress site, for easy browsing - check it out! (Louis Wu 08:46:09 UTC) (permalink)
