Maw 700 Contest 1 - Complete! At 12 noon UTC today (six and a half hours ago), Contest 1 of the Maw 700 closed - and our crack team of Halo experts huddled together over the final entries. After some rigorous debate (and not a few fisticuffs) a winner emerged. Our congratulations go out to ALL contestants... but especially to Frogblast, whose winning time of 2:43.90 was sufficient to carry the day. Full details (including Honorable Mentions) can be found at the Contest 1 page. Time to gear up for Contest 2! (Louis Wu 18:58:42 UTC) (permalink)
Multiplayer pointers at drunkgamers.com Drunkgamers.com has started a new feature - It's a section with multiplayer pointers, accompanied by movies. The first one shows a nice flag recovery in a game of CTF Pro - and some damn good pistol shooting. guS, of drunkgamers, says to expect regular updates with more movies and pointers in the coming days. Worth a look! (Louis Wu 18:35:51 UTC) (permalink)
Danish Halo review at MSN/dk Otizz sends word of a Danish Halo review at the Danish MSN site. It's in Danish, so I have ZERO idea of what it says - but they rated it 6/6 butterflies. We've added it to our Reviews database, even though we don't know how to translate the quote we used. (Hopefully, it's clean.) (Louis Wu 18:35:13 UTC) (permalink)
Yet more fanfic Jaywhit10 drops off part 2 of his absurdly-long-titled fanfic - you'll find it in our Fan Fiction section. Enjoy! (Louis Wu 18:08:52 UTC) (permalink)
Bugs are fun More fun with frozen stuff - Bonk has an interesting movie showing what happens when a Banshee crosses a loading zone without you... and Frogblast discovers a CLOSED (but flyable) Banshee. Wonga! (Louis Wu 14:26:31 UTC) (permalink)
Halo and Skoal Heh - a Halo lan fest with some heavy drinkin' goin' on... (Louis Wu 04:29:33 UTC) (permalink)
New One-Shots A pair of One-Shots from NeGat1vEzEr0 - dead guys and high spots. Check 'em out! (Louis Wu 04:24:52 UTC) (permalink)
Truth and Recon updates Woohoo! Bungie's Tru7h and Reconciliation site is updated again - this time with human concept art (bittersweet to see a female engineer) and more wallpapers (though the Longswords are mislabeled as Longbows - which, in retrospect, might be a more appropriate name for them anyway). Last, but certainly not least, Marty has kindly made the sheet music for Siege of Madrigal available for download (local copy) - this one's for you, Psyrixx. Credit for the heads-up this time goes to kayas (who's supposed to be taking a break from Halo...). (Louis Wu 03:53:22 UTC) (permalink)
Lots to read A pair of new releases for the Fan Fiction section - Jehkoh turns in a very meaty second chapter to his Order of the Seraphim series, and Ryan drops off the first chapter to a new series, 'Well Enough Alone'. Get to readin'! (Louis Wu 03:30:55 UTC) (permalink)
