Digging out from under
This newspost is dated the 5th because that's when most of the work was done - but it's being written on the 6th. The server hosting HBO's database (and a boatlod of other stuff) was attacked, and wiped clean. As far as I can tell, the only goal was to do damage; there was no specific target. (I'm pretty sure at this point that the attack came from someone who found a list of exploits, and poked around servers until he found one that was vulnerable. My bad for not filling in a hole that has had a patch available for a little over a year...) Lots of things will be broken because of this - please just be patient. HBO is a hobby, for the most part, and the priority at this point is getting PAYING clients back online. Apologies to everyone expecting Halo news... we'll do the best we can.
