You got your Fable in my Halo!
Kaboris stopped in from deepest Japan (okay, Nagoya) with a tidbit from a recent issue of Famitsu Xbox that I haven't seen yet in Western media. His translation:

"In Reach, the chemistry (or lack thereof) plays a role in how the members in Noble Team interact with each other. If a character harbors a disliking towards one of the characters he/she might not back that person up in combat." (laughs)

(This was an interview with Marcus Lehto.) So the question is... are we talking about built-in chemistry (how Kat gets along with Jorge, for example), or is this something that affects US (as in, if we make Kat angry, she leaves us to die when ambushed)? Either way, it's a new concept for Halo titles, and should be fun to see how it plays out! (Louis Wu 16:08:18 UTC)
