January 20, 2009 Link to this post Halo Genesis... Revisited A million years ago (okay, really only 6.5 years ago), Karl "oldmano'theC" Nyman sent us a video he'd created using Pixels:3D and his own music. It was called 'Halo Genesis•1', and although it was tiny (320x180), it was gorgeous. Sometime in 2005, he remastered this video in a larger form factor (640x360) and newly-mixed audio... but we just heard about the new version today. If you watched this back in the day, give it another look. It's prettier now. (9.6 mb, .AVI XviD format) If you've never seen this before, it's definitely worth downloading. It's Karl's conception of the formation of a Halo ring, and it's pretty fun. He told us we could use some screenshots to pique your interest - and if you like what you see, maybe take a look through his other stuff, too. (If you have trouble with the XviD version, for whatever reason, you can always go back and look at the original QuickTime version, in that first link.)
