July 19, 2008 Link to this post Halo 3 keyboard-and-mouse control, via modchip RotaJota ran across an article in Engadget touting a 360 mod chip that lets you use a keyboard and mouse as input devices - you won't be able to play online, because of that chip, but you SHOULD be able to move a little more precisely than your controller-wielding compatriots in a LAN game. (Maybe.) Update: KanadaKid clarified that the XIM 2 is a chip that sits BETWEEN your keyboard/mouse and your Xbox 360 - it's not a mod of the 360 itself. And Zero pointed out the XCM XFPS, an adaptor that will let you plug nearly ANY controller (including a Keyboard/mouse combo) into your 360, with no modding needed. (The latest version even has a rapid-fire function; turn on the turbo keys and your guns will fire faster than you could pull the triggers yourself.) Again, these are both external to the 360 - both are useable on LIVE. Ah, well.
