MS GM Says Really Odd Things to GI
Phil Spencer talked to Game Informer recently, and the Halo 3 beta came up. (Surprise, surprise.) He states that the number of beta participants will 'grow over time':
It will scale over time and we need thousands of people from all around the world playing to make sure that all the systems are in place. In the end hundreds of thousands of people playing to make sure we're ready to go live.
He also offers some bizarre suggestions about how they picked Crackdown to deliver the beta invite (basically, he says they wanted a game nobody was going to buy, so that they could "throttle how many people would get on"). Go read for yourself. (Louis Wu 17:56:26 UTC)
