Faceplate Contest - Results!
Took us much longer than we'd hoped it would... but the thousand entries we received for the Faceplate contest have been narrowed down to a pair of winners. Congratulations to Hawaiian Pig and Wheels, whose faceplate designs win them a prototype Halo faceplate direct from Bungie! Check out the Finalists page to see the final 14 entries. Update: Thanks to nam, for the great idea - we're making ALL of the submissions available, in a sense; you can download all the faceplates in this pair of QuickTime vids (horizontal, 463 plates, 27.6 mb | vertical, 485 plates, 24.4 mb), with each plate shown for one second. (The vertical plates needed to be reduced in size a bit, to fit on a reasonable monitor. If you're on a 1024x768 monitor, you'll need to reduce it even more.) (Louis Wu 14:56:03 UTC)
