June 7, 2006 Link to this post Halo 3: Behind The Scenes Occasionally, they release me from the chains that hold me to this desk, and take me outside to see the sun. (Or the stars, depending on the hour.) And as welcome as these breaks are, sometimes they come at... inconvenient times. Tonight, Bungie released Halo 3: Behind The Scenes, a new piece from Jim McQuillan. (Jim's the guy behind Film Oasis, the company that made the Halo 2 Making Of documentary that shipped with the Limited Edition Halo 2 discs. Bungie liked him so much they hired him fulltime.) Our forum is awash with discussion, but in case you haven't already seen it, you should go grab a copy - it's seven minutes long (!!), available in WMP9 or QuickTime, in sizes ranging from 320x180 (about 25 mb) up to 1280x720 HD (about 400 mb), and it's fascinating. Go grab the biggest copy you can handle, and see what Bungie themselves think about Halo 3! (I'll toss out a potential warning; it's possible that the QuickTime HD version has its last 20 seconds corrupted; it was that way for me, and for several others. Bungie is aware of the issue, and checking to see whether the file on the server got corrupted during upload; if it did, it'll be replaced soon.) (Louis Wu 03:53:08 UTC)
