May 8, 2000 Link to this post I.M. Banks gets cyclical with T.S. Eliot Hamish Sinclair notices a nice little bit of cyclicism in Iain M. Banks' Culture novel. The title of his latest book, Look To Windward, comes from a T.S. Eliot poem called "The Waste Land"... and this particular passage was quoted at the start of Banks' first Culture novel, Consider Phlebas. (Just to try and tie it all into Halo, another T.S. Eliot quote appears in the Cortana Letters.) Nice spotting, Hamish! (Louis Wu 20:32:47 UTC)
