I have lost it!

One Last Ambient Snippet
A couple of days ago, WraithX found one more Swahili clip on Outskirts - he posted it, along with a guide to finding all the overhead speakers on the level, on our forum. Rehema came by and translated it - we've added it to our Dialogue Databank. Thanks, guys! (We don't know for SURE that there aren't any more snippets - you might hear something new, for example, when in possession of the IWHBYD skull. Or via some other trigger. More Swahili Snippets
Yesterday, WraithX posted three new Swahili clips he found in the final tunnel in Outskirts - and rehema once again translated these to English for us. Oxygen - bah.
After a sizeable stretch without submissions, the Halo 2 Dialogue Databank grows by 22 snippets, from three separate submitters. Captain Spark found a fantastic whiney grunt (forum thread is here), thesaelens tossed us another group of grunt quotes, and Icy Guy sent along the beginnings of our Halo 2 Multiplayer category. Check 'em out! Update: Whoa - it looks like Captain Spark was actually way busier than all that. He recorded another 53 snippets yesterday, in a marathon 11 hour session - you can grab them all at his website. I've separated out the duplicates, and added the 46 new ones to our databank - the same link from earlier today will get you there (or this one will get you just Captain Spark's entries). More Swahili Clips
Thanks once again to our forumgoers; Overridea grabbed another 7 Swahili sound snippets off of Outskirts, and rehema again translated; you can find all seven in our Dialogue Databank. Swahili announcements - translated
Yesterday, we pointed out that Frankie had hinted that some of the Swahili announcements, audible on the Outskirts level, might contain material of interest to fans. Last night, rehema popped onto our forum, and with some file help from m32, was able to listen to the clips - and translate them. We've added all 7 unique clips that ZexGX found a few weeks ago, plus one new one posted by Armum Infirni last night, to our Dialogue Databank, along with the original Swahili transcriptions and rehema's translations. Go take a look! Update: It looks like replay went the next step, and googled the translations... many are Swahili proverbs. It's the Old Man Maji quote that intrigues me... it's not a proverb, and there's no clear tie to a Halo 2 plot point; what's this about? (Louis Wu 14:24:29 UTC)

Dialogue, Dialogue, and more Dialogue
Yesterday, Captain Spark released 44 new dialogue snippets on his website; it's a 2 mb zip download to get them all. A day before that, we got mail from KaworuNagisa, containing 19 new snippets of his own - most of them from the Prophet Regret (including his sermon, in pieces). Some really good stuff here; both groups are full of interesting things. Another Egg Down
A few days ago, Starman343 posted a note on our forum, pointing to a far more detailed post on the High Impact Halo forum - he'd managed to hear a dialogue snippet that Marty O'Donnell alluded to a few weeks back. This was clearly added as an easter egg; it requires that you have possession of the IWHBYD skull (see the HIH Skulls Database for all known details of this mysterious skull), something extremely difficult to obtain. Even when you have it, hearing this egg isn't a guarantee; once Starman343 had posted, our resident dialogue guru, Captain Spark gave it a shot, but was unsuccessful on his first attempt, and Starman himself explained that he cycled through a lot of dialogue before repeating that tidbit. Last night, Cody Miller proved his Legendary prowess yet again... and posted three hilarious snippets on our forum - so Marty's egg has been found, and added to our Dialogue Databank for posterity. That just greedy!
thesaelens turned in another 28 dialogue snippets for the Halo 2 Dialogue Databank; a split between Grunts and Elites. I'm amazed by how many DIFFERENT clips there are when you shoot your own teammates, or trade your lousy gun for their good one. Go listen! Update: That link now goes to 53 new clips, not 28 - Captain Spark submitted his own collection of 25 new pieces, as well. Lots of good stuff! (I'm not sure what our official policy is going to be on scripted content, from here on in; in general, we rejected it for the Halo Dialogue Databank, but some of these clips are priceless.)
