Thanks to a bit of recovery required from PAX East, the latest Halo Bulletin went live yesterday evening. In its delicate folds you will find an eclectic menagerie of community queries related most directly to the recent announcements surrounding things like Forge Island and the latest TU. Now Halo Should Have a Defiant Map Pack... Wait...
We here at HBO love video games of all different sorts. One of the games that has a few of us very intrigued is the upcoming open world shooter from Trion Worlds, Defiance. If you follow us over at our sister site, DBO, you might remember us mentioning the project citing an interview with the Executive Producer of the game, as he referenced thoughts on Bungie's upcoming Destiny title (small open world, huh?). Earlier today, as I was inputting codes online to level up my "Ark Hunter", I noticed a peculiar emblem for the level I had just attained. Shoulda been Level 7, but still, full circle indeed! HBO poster DHalo stopped by our forum yesterday with a really stellar post regarding his thoughts on Halo 4's story delivery, specifically in relation to things revealed in the newly-released Halo: Silentium. It's a great read with some excellent points made, and does a fantastic job of being objective while succumbing to neither lip-service or ball-busting. Still Fulfilling His Destiny
Newer readers might be curious about the watermark in the background of the front page today, while Bungie.org veterans will probably just give a wink, smile, or respectful nod to a day so many will always remember. Today marks the 10th anniversary that the Bungie fan community lost one of its bravest, Brian Morden, to Ewing's Sarcoma. Brian's spirit forged pathways into the hearts of many, and remains something that will never die. Last year, mad.max wrote up a small summary for those interested in knowing more. Note that the link in that post to the Brian Morden Foundation seems to be borked, but this one works just fine. Moments ago, Bungie tweeted a special announcement regarding all the new places you can go to get the latest updates on Destiny. "Exciting times" is an understatement around here!
