Even the Forerunners had Pickett Ships
FyreWulff invites you to join with him in a calm and appropriate request for continued and future API support for the community by 343 Industries. If you're of a similar mind, go and check out the thread he references on the Halo Waypoint forums and join in the movement. The best way for the community to show their desires is through a mature and organized response, so if this is an issue that you feel equally passionate about, go let your voice be heard! Halo 4 Intel Inbound Soon?
Thanks to Hypertrooper, who brought the word to HaloGAF of the finnish magazine Pelaaja reporting that news on Halo 4 would be revealed at the Xbox Spring Showcase on February 29. While it's certainly still just a rumor, it's a tantalizing one to think that new goodies might be so close at hand! (GrimBrother One 15:01:58 UTC)

Harvesting Every Little Detail
DayandKnightly has put the first official piece of content up on his new fiction-deciphering website, Reactive Bias. This new addition is Part I of his look at the novel Halo: Contact Harvest, and it's a fantastic look at some things you might not have caught the first time around. Whether you are new to the Halo fiction or not, it's a great refresher on some of the excellent details of the universe. Check it out! (GrimBrother One 14:30:52 UTC)

Spec ops Grunt dropped by to let us know of a new addition to the Epic Rap Battles of History, this time pitting legendary Spartans Leonidas and Master Chief against each other. Duck, Duck, GO!
It couldn't possibly be any more fitting that I am sitting in a racetrack media room while posting pete_the_duck's latest edition of his absolutely excellent Forge reality show, Last Forger Standing. Don't miss Episode 3, which gives the remaining forgers the challenge of building there very own Halo racetrack in Forge. The results are all at once hilarious, spectacular, and all-too-familiar. Don't miss this one! (GrimBrother One 16:32:46 UTC)

Hedge's Pics Always Get My Pulse Racing
Today's HBO update comes to you live from the media center at Daytona International Speedway, where your race-weathered Grim has ducked into to keep race fans informed of of various speedy-goings on, and Halo fans informed of our favorite franchise. We're now into the 19th hour into the Rolex 24 Hours, and normally, it's hard for me to feel like much compares to the raw and elegant beauty of a proper race car at speed. However, our beloved Hedgemony certainly makes a strong push for top spot on the podium with his latest round of gorgeous screenshots and panos from the most recent Community Customs night. They have awakened my tired and sleepy eyes, and I think they'll do the same for you... check it out! (GrimBrother One 16:07:03 UTC)

MC X Tekken X Street Fighter = A New NotCanon.net
Elzar "The News" the Bam dropped by with a link to an article from OXM UK that talks about how Capcom tried to get Master Chief into the upcoming Street Fighter X Tekken (as well as Marcus Fenix from the Gears of War franchise. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, but it would certainly have been interesting to see John-117 take on Panda! And disturbing, of course. Also related, GrimBrother "Attention Hog" One (wait that's me) ran across a slightly-related article on IGN where they muse that having an energy sword-wielding Covenant Elite as DLC in Soul Caliber V would be pretty awesome. I would have to agree. How about you? (GrimBrother One 20:58:23 UTC)

Stick Figures & Stat Padders
TCKaos dropped in to help answer the age-old question of which controller arrangement was better, the FightStick or the FightPad? Since both are used almost exclusively for fighting franchises such as Street Fighter and Soul Caliber, the only logical thing to do would be to test it out... in Halo. 1 v 1 style of course. The result is a couple of pretty funny videos, both from his perspective and from his opponent's. Who will win? Watch and find out! (GrimBrother One 16:50:12 UTC)

Will the Commercials Have a Fast-talking Announcer?
Yesterday we mentioned a Halo Waypoint announcement regarding the new XBOX Live Avatar-based Halo collectibles coming from McFarlane Toys, but we forgot to mention the add the additional news that McFarlane Toys also announced yet another type of Halo collectible called "Micro-Ops". These sound very cool, as they scale down the vehicles and personnel in order to focus on some of the larger set pieces in the Halo Universe, such as the environment itself. The first series alone will give you the ability to recreate the Halo 3 map High Ground! Sounds awesome! Check out the aforementioned press release for more details. I wonder what model of Banshee they'll use... (GrimBrother One 15:35:03 UTC)

A Fantastic Creation About Fantastic Creations
pete the duck just doesn't let up. He stopped in today to let us know that Episodes 1 & 2 of his new Forge-based reality show are now live! The first episode introduces the audience both to the overall concept of the show as well as to the contestants themselves. Episode 2 puts them to the test, and eliminates one contestant from the group. The Forge work on display is really awesome from top to bottom, and the show overall is just a really great watch. Can't wait to see the next episode, you should go and check it out! (GrimBrother One 15:29:33 UTC)

We Always Figured They Would...
In a pretty awesome piece of news, 343 Industries announced today that McFarlane Toys will be manufacturing a line of Halo 4 toys, as well as continuing the Halo Universe line (I know personally that GrimBrother IV will be ecstatic to see a Fred-104 figure in the lineup!). You can see a partial (very partial for Halo 4 obviously) lineup in the linked press release. Collectors, be at the ready! Also, as a bonus, I would like to personally link you to the local version of this week's Halo Bulletin from bs angel! (GrimBrother One 14:19:34 UTC)

Kick Me, I'm a Reclaimer!
bs angel dropped another new Halo Bulletin on us last night. Don't worry, everyone's fine. The focus of the new edition is an excellent interview with Tinkerbell himself, Tim Dadabo. Check it out for some awesome insight into not just how he feels about Halo, but also a peek at some of the many different roles his voice has given life to! (RAID Bugs? Really, Tim?!) The extra-awesome goodie at the end is a 25-minute preview of the upcoming Halo: Primordium audio book voiced by - you guessed it - Tim Dadabo. Go and check it out! [And because Grim hates me, and doesn't believe in mentioning our Halo Bulletin Archive, I'm gonna step in with a local link. And then I'm gonna go have a good cry. -lwu] (GrimBrother One 13:00:26 UTC)

Spartans Know How to Keep Cool in a Crysis
Longtime HBO member The Lionheart unveiled today a new community-driven project that looks to hit the ground running strong. Called Venerance, the project is a Halo mod using CryEngine 3, and focuses on Blue Team's exploits on Sigma Octanus IV. The project is certainly rich in passion, and The Lionheart says that the creative team behind it will soon be recruiting even more talent from the Halo community to join on board. His forum post is more of a teaser, but I'm sure he'd love to answer any questions he can about the project. So keep an eye on this one, and if you don't think you can help out, at least lend some encouraging words! Check it out! (GrimBrother One 01:17:17 UTC)

An Awesome Opening Credit Roll to Tide You Over
Timgie stopped in to show off an incredibly cool draft of the opening for his newest machinima project. It already looks amazing, but he's still looking for your feedback so give it a watch, then stop by to let him know what you think. If the intro looks this good, I can't wait to see the full project! Holy Trailer Recreation, Batman!
Don't worry, despite Wu's only headlines from yesterday reading "Quitting Halo" and "No Help", I have convinced him to stay around for a bit and use my sometimes-versatile vernacular as a creative crutch whenever he needs. On that note, over the holiday break, HBO participant JIMBOTHY had yet another capital idea and decided to recreate the recent Dark Knight Rises trailer in Halo: Reach machinima-style. The result is awesome; you should definitely check it out! Update: you can now watch a comparison video showing both the original and the machinima version side by side.
