Halo: Reach Cutscenes - Now in Surround Sound Cody Miller has been upgrading our Halo Cutscene Library with surround-sound versions of each game's cutscenes since 2011 - and yesterday, the newest additions went live. The Reach cutscenes are now available in full surround sound, in either QuickTime or WMV variants. Superb! (Louis Wu 16:44:17 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Custom Edition: Takedown - Project Lawson MatthewDratt has released Takedown: Project Lawson, a single-player map for Halo: Custom Edition. You can find a trailer here (it's a year old), a ViDoc showing off some of the characters you'll interact with (fun!), the actual download from the HaloCE3 website, or more info (screens, videos, discussion, etc) from HaloMaps.org. Again, you'll need Halo Custom Edition (free, though you need a Halo PC license to use it) - go get started! (Louis Wu 16:38:45 UTC) (permalink)
Halo Monk Chant at VGL Last night, the live-streamed Video Games Live concert took place at San Diego Comic Con - and Marty O'Donnell and Mike Salvatori were there. (Their segment starts around 3:16:30 or so in the Twitch.TV archived video.) It's focused on Destiny... but at the start of the segment, Marty and Mike perform an impromptu version of the monk chant from the original Halo theme. Fantastic! Go watch.
