This is an incredibly cool project. Postmortem and the ForwardUntoDawn crew have launched an absolutely awesome tribute to celebrate the first 10 years of the Halo Community. Titled Community Evolved, the still-in-production book takes a look back at the last ten years of community support, activity, and involvement that the Halo franchise has inspired. Some wonderful special guests will be included throughout, and some amazing artwork will be included. If you are a Halo fan, this won't be something you want to miss. As we mentioned, it's still in production, and could use your support to reach its full potential, so please check out their Kickstarter page to see how you can become involved. Things like this continue to show how powerful the bond is between Halo fans, and how special the last ten years has been for all the content created and friendships forged. Go check it out! Halo 4 Free - Winners Announced!
KontrolFreek has posted a list of winners for their Halo 4 Free contest - congrats to all 6! (I'm impressed - four of them are women.) Even better news for folks who DIDN'T win - HBO was the winning community partner, which means that at some point soon, we'll have ANOTHER Halo 4 LE console to give away. w00t! Thanks to GrimBrother One for noticing the announcement - and thanks to everyone who referred us! Keep your eyes peeled for the contest announcement. (There's a discount code listed on that announcement page - you can buy anything in their store for 10% off with it. Go shopping!) (Louis Wu 17:30:43 UTC) (permalink)
IGN's Meltdown Walkthrough

Pre-Order Bonuses... out of hand
Huh. If you pre-order Halo 4 at Wal-Mart, you get the Circuit Armor skin as a pre-order bonus. But what if you've pre-ordered somewhere else? Looks like Wal-Mart's selling that skin for 35 cents. And so it begins... (thanks, Amazing Mic). (Louis Wu 16:16:29 UTC) (permalink)
pete_the_duck stopped in with word of a bunch of new content - Episode 9 of his magical Forge With Pete series is live (Waypoint | YouTube), showing you how to build a game of Breakout in the Halo Reach engine. As always, I'm flabbergasted. He's also posted a new Forge Quack (Blue trees? Cool!), and a new webcomic (a cautionary tale that's relevant this week) - he's been busy! Go enjoy (Louis Wu 15:56:15 UTC) (permalink)

Party Crasher (and some help understanding it)
Last night, Episode 19 of Red vs Blue's 10th season went live - and it was a bit confusing, though full of pretty cool moments. There's a thread on our forum if you'd like help deciphering it, kicked off by Bryan Newman (who was actually in the episode). A few days ago, IGN released a Behind the Scenes special feature on Red vs Blue, which might help as well - I know it clarified a couple of bits for me! This season is rapidly drawing to a close - things are getting complicated!

We've seen a small version of this incredible piece of art before... but earlier this month, John Liberto released a large (desktop-sized, even) version of his UNSC Infinity concept art - gorgeous! Thanks, TheOddOne.

I always wondered what happened when I left...
Cracked.com has an article they call '21 Awkward Moments Between Video Game Levels' - and one of them is Halo-related. It's funny for a lot of reasons - not least of which is the appearance of a familiar gamertag. Fun stuff! Thanks, Revenant1988. (Louis Wu 14:42:45 UTC) (permalink)
Are you worthy?
There is a Swedish site that looks to be devoted to some sort of promotion - it's tied in to the Forward Unto Dawn series (it involves Corbulo Academy), and it goes live tomorrow. Go watch the video - and revisit tomorrow! Thanks, Grizzlei. (Louis Wu 14:35:23 UTC) (permalink)
