I want a hammer I can throw. Heh - this made me laugh. Thanks, bs angel. (Louis Wu 20:46:49 UTC) (permalink)
Confused Dropships
Rockslider has STILL not finished with Jun's Falcon - stop by our forum for the latest details. I'd hate to be a mouse living in his house; I'm betting there's NOTHING left on the plates when he's finished. (Louis Wu 20:41:55 UTC) (permalink)
Buy fast internet, get free Halo
Interesting - if you're eligible for Verizon FIOS internet, check out a new deal that gives you Halo Anniversary and 12 months of LIVE for signing up. Thanks, ElzarTheBam. (Louis Wu 20:39:00 UTC) (permalink)
The cutscenes we always needed them to be
In October, 2007, our Halo 3 Cutscene Library went live, and a year later, we upgraded it with HD versions of the scenes. Due to limitations in recording equipment, however, audiophiles have always been shortchanged... until now. Cody Miller has graciously re-recorded all of these cutscenes in full 5.1 surround sound - gorgeous! (If you don't have the hardware to appreciate this, it should degrade nicely to standard stereo.) Anniversary upgrades... coming before too long! (Louis Wu 15:58:42 UTC) (permalink)
In The Wake
Leviathan was playing with the concepts of space and time - and found inspiration in the final cutscene of Halo 3. The art itself isn't necessarily Halo-related - but it IS Halo-inspired... and it's gorgeous. Check it out. (Louis Wu 14:28:34 UTC) (permalink)
Violin Anthem for Saving the World
Lara is a cosplayer, and a video game music afficionado. She's also really good on violin and piano. Hawaiian Pig pointed out her rendition of the Halo theme on the former. Superb!

Dream of an Unyielding Spartan
MASSAIKUR put together an interesting video based on what John 117 might dream about; the soundtrack is a song by the inimitable Mothergoat. Go watch!

The Greatest Video Game Music Guvaway
Gaming Union is giving away video game music, but you have to guess the origins of tracks to win. Last week's challenge had a Halo track in it - this week's doesn't, but it's still a pretty fun contest! Go play. (Louis Wu 14:24:11 UTC) (permalink)
John is the Controller
Over at NeoGAF, FyreWulff pointed out a reddit post from a Project Director at Harmonix who mentions trying to get the Master Chief into Dance Central 2. Heh.
