A glimpse into the mind of a Halo artist
Over at NeoGAF, TheOddOne stumbled across a Picasa gallery belonging to Paul Russel, formerly an environment artist at Bungie, now working at Certain Affinity. It's got some amazing stuff in it; what caught TheOddOne's eye was Halo 3: The Lost City (which is really, really cool), but you should look at ALL of the work there. From early ideas about Cairo Station to ODST building blocks to throwaway comments on Reach images that make you rethink what you've seen... it's a treasure trove. (Did you know that the Silent Cartographer was remade in Halo 3? I totally missed that.) Explore. (Louis Wu 16:14:17 UTC) (permalink)

Waypoint Video Roundup There was a boatload of new material released on Halo Waypoint this week - we touched on only a small portion of it. Here's a summary of some of the videos we missed - there's plenty more content that we're simply skipping! (That means you should explore the site for yourself.)
Again, there's more - screenshots, Halo in real life, community interaction... go play!
