Whew! Took longer than we'd expected, but hey - there were a LOT of entries to sort through. No matter: Voting for the Headshot Heard 'Round The World contest is now open! We've narrowed the playing field down to 15 finalists, and you get to pick your top three choices. Voting will remain open for a while - but don't put this off forever! Remember, the grand prize winner will collect a Halo: Reach Console Bundle, thanks to the generosity of KontrolFreek! Go watch, and vote! (Louis Wu 14:02:04 UTC) (permalink)
...And a Forge Island Iced Tea. I think the apocalypse might be nigh... I actually laughed out loud at today's One One Se7en. Watch your back. (Louis Wu 13:46:05 UTC) (permalink)
Forging Ahead: Battle Plans
GhaleonEB's Forge Blog continues - his latest entry is concerned with what needs to happen (during the building process) to ensure that fighting on the map is actually fun. Great read! (Louis Wu 11:44:06 UTC) (permalink)
Wanna get better at multiplayer?
NeoGAF's Leotarius has a blog called 'Hyper Lethal' - and he's focusing on multiplayer tactics in Reach for now. Some interesting stuff in there - the most recent article kicks off his 'Playbook', providing set strategies for one-sided objective matches. Check it out! (Louis Wu 11:36:48 UTC) (permalink)
Talkin' 'bout videogames
Wow... so there's a company who monitors web discussion of video games, and reports their results. (That's odd.) And for the month of September, Halo: Reach was the most talked-about game online. (That's not quite so odd.) If you want more details about Overtone's GameVoice report, go read the press release. (Louis Wu 10:56:40 UTC) (permalink)
FLAG writeup
Morpheus played in last weekend's FLAG Tournament - and wants to tell you ALL about it. (Lots and lots and lots of pics...) (Louis Wu 10:53:40 UTC) (permalink)

Something's Up in Bungieland...
Some really funky stuff going on on the Bungie Webcam page these days - Hedgemony's curious... are you? (Louis Wu 10:51:50 UTC) (permalink)
Friday's Fan Fiction Awesome - looks like our Fan Fiction submission page has finally been discovered by a pornsite spam bot. (Don't worry; the only person who suffers is me.) Might have to add a Captcha soon... but in the meantime, there are five new (real) pieces online this week - go read 'em! (Louis Wu 10:49:39 UTC) (permalink)
Lumbering Dinos and Huge Cube Maps
As they mentioned last week, the Halo Humpday Challenge took place against the crew of Naughty Dog (the team behind Uncharted 2, among other games). In a friendly meeting of developers, Bungie pulls out three straight victories. (Very close victories, but victories nonetheless.) Go read urk's writeup. (Louis Wu 10:47:22 UTC) (permalink)
