If you haven't visited Bungie.net today, here's what's new in their Comm Chatter: Go explore! (Louis Wu 21:15:07 UTC) (permalink)
The Elements of the Halo Periodic Table Hawty McBloggy let us know that the full collection of individual elements the Halo Periodic Table she and Halcylon revealed a few days ago is now online - 112 elements, each visible in 256x256 pixel splendor. (On the page they're a little smaller; the downloads are that size.) Amazing work! Update: if you'd like to download all 112 hi-res PNGs in one go, Hawty has given us permission to host the collection; it's only 10 mb.

Picking Apart the Pieces
Reach trailer analysis pieces are appearing at large gaming sites - I need to thank the HaloGAF population for keeping up on this stuff. ZZMitch noticed a Rewind installment from IGN (they step through the trailer, stopping at bits they feel are important)... WickedLahari pointed out a Digital Foundry analysis from Eurogamer (they're calling foul, saying that the trailer was rendered offline (in-engine, but offline) in high-res, then downsampled to 720p to eliminate aliasing). There will likely be others.

The Nobility of Teamwork Like a sleeping dragon smelling new treasure, Tied the Leader awakens - XerxdeeJ has written up a call to arms for the faithful, and looked through the Reach trailer for the features that stir the hearts of gunslingers everywhere.

Top 50 Games of the Noughties: 30-11
We mentioned the Guardian's Top 50 Games of the Noughties piece yesterday - the second installment (30-11) went live today, and Halo: Combat Evolved came in at #14. Slots 10-6 tomorrow - will any other Halo titles make the list?

Marty and Curtis at the VGAs
GameVideos got a minute to talk to Marty O'Donnell and Curtis Creamer backstage at the VGAs last week - not a huge amount of info, but worth watching, it's only 90 seconds! Thanks to NeoGAF's Tashi0106 for noticing. (Louis Wu 13:21:05 UTC) (permalink)
Commercial of the Decade Followup
Last month, we mentioned AdweekMedia's 'Commercial of the Decade' poll to pick the best commercial of the first 10 years of the 21st century, because Halo's Believe ad had made the finalists. We thought we'd follow up - it didn't win. (Still holds a special place in the Halo fan's heart, though!) (Louis Wu 13:19:09 UTC) (permalink)
