Toys For Tots Halo 3 Tournament
Charity Gamers is hosting a Toys For Tots Tournament on December 20 - registration opens tomorrow. It's a 2v2 Halo3 tourney, with MLG rules. Registration is $20, and the first place team wins $100 - but mostly, you're competing to bring gifts to poor children. Check out the info page for an overview, and register on the Registration page! Letting the Halo 3 Art Speak for Itself
There's a fascinating look at the construction of the Halo 3 Art book that goes on sale tomorrow - it's not finished (the last part will be posted tomorrow), but what's there is a great start. Check it out! (Louis Wu 21:44:59 UTC) (permalink)

Ensemble on how to build an RTS on a console
Gamasutra sat down with Graeme Devine and Bill Jackson, of Ensemble Studios, to talk about the control scheme of Halo Wars - how it developed, why it's better than the way other games do it. It's a pretty interesting discussion! Go give it a read. (Louis Wu 18:10:47 UTC) (permalink)
If I Worked At Bungie (For A Day)
Last night Bryan Simon let us know that he's whipped up a new song - this one's not really focused on Halo 3 (though it's mentioned a couple of times), it's more about Bungie. It's called 'If I Worked At Bungie (For A Day)', and in it he muses about the fun he'd have. Watch it on YouTube, or download the MP3 from us.

kr-1426 let us know that the HBO Fan Fic Pick of the Week is live over at the HBOFF forums - there's even one for the previous week, now. Go see who the regulars think is worth reading! (Louis Wu 12:39:46 UTC) (permalink)
MLG Las Vegas - Congrats to Str8
If you missed the live streams last night, you can read a recap of the MLG Las Vegas event over at the MLGPro.com website. (You can actually watch the action yourself, if you'd rather.) The money on the line was pretty steep - Str8 Rippin went home with $100,000 for winning the tourney, Instinct took $60,000 for second place, Carbon settled for $40,000 for third place, and even Final Boss, who placed only 4th, STILL went home with $28,000. Not bad for a weekend's work! (Louis Wu 12:33:05 UTC) (permalink)
