Bungie Weekly Update, June 27
Bungie's posted the June 27 Bungie Weekly Update quite a bit earlier than usual (it's been up since before 4 pm, their time) - it contains more exhortations for anticipation of Good Things on both Bungie Day and PAX Weekend, a recap of the Content License Transfer Tool we mentioned yesterday, new overhead screens of Cold Storage, a matchmamking update, and... something else. Master Chief Theater 3000 - now with added cast

Halo costumes - coming soon
Costume City is selling Rubie's Master Chief costumes - the Collector's model is listed as in stock, shipping now. (The two cheaper models are 'coming soon'.) These are the same costumes we mentioned back in February; that site is listing a July 31 ship date for these items. With the exception of the high-end model, these are definitely the cheapest way to get into a Master Chief outfit you don't make yourself this year! Thanks, Parabus.

Bungie's Attention to Detail
Omega compared the African coastline, as seen in one of the final cutscenes of Halo 3, to a current-day map, to pinpoint where Forward Unto Dawn came down. You can get a really nice sense of scale of the size of the portal to the Ark. Great work! (Louis Wu 13:08:29 UTC) (permalink)
