Halo: Halos In Space Spec ops Grunt found what might be the funniest Halo fanfic ever. Not because of its content - but because of its presentation. (The original is here, actually - thanks, Infinite_7.) (Louis Wu 20:52:07 UTC) (permalink)
You'd Give An Arm And A Leg. Sometimes, Stuntmutt can go too far with his One One Se7en puns. (Wait... sometimes?) (Louis Wu 14:56:53 UTC) (permalink)
Floaty Silence 2 - Heaven Leapers Hellhawk has released Floaty Silence 2 - no relation to Floaty Silence, or even the Floaty Silence 2 Trailer, but funny nonetheless. His forum post contains a QuickTime encoded with h.264; if you'd rather have a WMP9 version (18.1 mb), or a QuickTime that's more compatible with less powerful machines (18.9 mb), we're making these available locally. Update: Hellhawk took umbrage with my comment that this movie isn't related to Floaty Silence - he's not committing to a full series, but they ARE related. Read the forum post for more details. 360Zine Halo 3 Preview 360Zine is a free downloadable magazine that covers (surprise, surprise) Xbox 360 news. Issue 2 has a Halo 3 preview. You can grab it (23 mb) from their downloads page. (Some of the features of this secured PDF were a little... buggy for me.) (Louis Wu 13:37:26 UTC) (permalink)
Friday's Fan Fiction Twelve new pieces for you in the Fan Fiction section today... go read! (Louis Wu 13:08:52 UTC) (permalink)
MLG Division I Halo Final Wrap-Up MLG has posted a wrapup of their Division I Halo Online Tournament - congrats to FBI GamerGraffix! Thanks, 3Suns. (Louis Wu 12:44:17 UTC) (permalink)
They're like squirrels, preparing for winter. Over at Bungie.net, you'll find the latest Halo 3 Humpday writeup; a mean group of Bungie employees went into Halo 3 matchmaking against 3 groups of brand-new players... and destroyed them. As KP accurately points out in the writeup, the tables will turn as soon as enough players learn the ins and outs of the new maps, so Bungie's taking full advantage of their inside knowledge to build up a few wins - lord knows there won't be many of them later. Thanks to Jordan117 for noticing. (Louis Wu 12:21:56 UTC) (permalink)
