SA's Comedy Goldmine
Something Awful has a Comedy Goldmine article up - forum regulars over there created posters for movies that starred videogame characters. The Master Chief turns up in two - Monster House and Reservoir Dogs. Thanks to DemanusFlint, who pointed these out - and I agree with him that the first one doesn't make a lot of sense. MediaGamers 2v2 Tourney Redux
High Hat 314 wrote to let us know that MediaGamers.com is back online with the start of the new month; this is relevant because we mentioned a 2v2 tourney they're setting up about a week ago - but they immediately ran out of bandwidth, and folks couldn't sign up. Troy Hudzinski sent along word of an upcoming paintball game in Kingston, Michigan - 'Searchings' will take place on September 9, and has a backstory based on a fanfic. Hero
This weekend, a music video set to Nickelback's 'Hero', submitted by MaritalBlaze54, passed the MPRRS - but our bandwidth was getting tight, so we held onto it until today. The song's been used in a lot of Halo vids before - but never really as a story by itself. Very nicely filmed. Grab it in WMP9 format (40.3 mb) or QuickTime format (44.2 mb) - good stuff!
