Frank O'Connor discusses Nightfall Back in August, when the upcoming movie Nightfall was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Shacknews interviewed Frank O'Connor about the details surrounding the project. They released a 2-minute clip at the time. (That clip focused on Frank's thoughts about Comic-Con itself, didn't really mention Nightfall at all.) A couple of days ago, they released a 4-minute piece of the interview that did, indeed, focus on Nightfall - a lot of it is recap, at this point (not surprising, when a month and a couple of other large press events have happened since), but it's a pretty nice summary of the project, and contains tidbits you might not know yet. Go watch! (Louis Wu 12:02:02 UTC) (permalink)
Of Chiefs and Brides We neglected to mention it when it came out on Wednesday (I was on a plane at the time), but this week's Halo Bulletin contains some great MCC stuff for you - screenshots, videos, descriptions, you name it. There's also a heartwarming tale of love and betrothal, a look at the Walk For Wishes (something a chunk of the studio participated in), and some high-flying screenshots. As always, you can read it at Halo Waypoint, or right here in our Halo Bulletin Archive. Thanks, CrisTheeCrappy. (Louis Wu 12:01:41 UTC) (permalink)

Master Chief: The Story You Never Knew So... Treesicle published 'Master Chief: The Story You Never Knew' back in May - but the first I heard about it was today, when ChrisTheeCrappy mentioned it on our forum. It's an analysis of the Halo storyline... with special care shown to our friendly neighborhood green-clad Spartan. It jumps from jokes to serious thought with abandon - but it's pretty solid thinking (except for maybe the lumberjack stuff). Go watch!

A new look at a classic Marty O'Donnell posted a copy of the original 1999 MacWorld New York Halo trailer last night - and beyond the powerful nostalgia of this iconic video, this is worth watching because you haven't really seen it before. It's a slightly different cut than the official Apple/Bungie trailer we've all pored over - there are different edits, and a couple of additional clips that weren't in the released version. Over at Rampancy.net, Narcogen has posted a side-by-side comparison of the two videos, making it easier to pick out some of these differences - upon watching both, it's clear that the released version is more polished, but it's wonderful to see this early cut! Halo x Attack on Titan tadboz pointed out Halo x Attack on Titan, a Halo-based recreation of an anime opening. (If you check this comparison link, you can see how amazingly the Halo 4 shots mirror the originals.) I'd never seen the anime - but that didn't stop me from appreciating the work! Time is a precious resource Whee! You'd think that now that PAX is over, we'd have more time to update HBO. (You'd be wrong.) Apologies for the downtime (again). Sort of feels like a broken record... During the weekend, Urban Reflex posted a link to his Halo Timeline - it does a great job of putting a HUGE number of disparate sources into chronological order. Check it out!
