Author's notes- I have the idea that all the Elites names would be after classical Roman, Greek and Persian names. Example, Darius, Ceaser, Pompey, Socrates, etc...

Their world was spinning perfectly, a dark yet vibrant violet gem in the sea of space. Stretching infinitely around the planet tucked safely around its infinity, the stars being its nightlights of the universe.

Surface-side...

Darius craned his neck forward, muscles rippling slightly. He could've sworn he saw a bright flare before the imaged darkened and was once again concealed against the inky backdrop of the sky. He turned and removed himself from the view port panel. The transport ship gently rocked under the minor turbulence.

Dar, as his friends called him, was an Elite. The most feared and respected of the Covenant. All Elites were roughly 8.6 or 2.5 meters tall. Smooth and yet heavily resilient, their skin was toned a light blue. They were bipedal and were three-toed, and had four fingers on their hands. Also, their bone density was roughly 3.7 times that of a human male. All in all, they were not to be screwed with.

Dar continued to watch the skies a few more moments before turning his back to the view panel. He could clearly see in the dark that Ceaser was mediating against the bulkhead. His eyes were coupled with pride and honor.

He leaned to the left and could see Crassius's toying with his plasma saber. Crassius was his commander, a golden armored Elite of the Fourth Division. Golden armored Elites were known as the Lord Protectors of the Covenant. Finally, Crassius put de-ignited his saber and hooked it back to its holster.

Pompey and Tiberius were both standing adjacent to the pilot's compartment. Both wore the silver-white armor of the Knight Protectors. Each had their Plasma saber and Plasma rifle. They also had their own thermal optical cloaks.

The cloak, which was a small blue orb with a small-magnetized shield, was integrated directly into their armor. They were rendered invisible to all but the most learned of eyes. The orb deflected the light around them, to go undisturbed around the Elite's mass.

Darius himself was a Perfect Protector, though of the same cast as that of Pompey and Tiberius. He wore the black-silver armor of Special Operation Elites, the second only to Lord Protectors. He was skilled in the art of the saber as well as the rifle. He was originally a Warrior, of the Soldier cast. He made his way up to the rank of Commander Guardian, of the crimson armor and then politely refused the offer from the Assassin Cast to join the Protector Guild.

Telinus and Pompey were of the Guardian Cast and stood silently as rigid statues guarding the only entryway to the cockpit. Within the pilot's chamber sat Octavian, busily keeping the personal transport aloft. His white armor reflecting the holo panels in front his armor.

He noticed that a spec was appearing from his left. He scanned the skies with his eyes and saw it. A human missile was a soaring image toward them. And then it was too late to see anything any more. Fire danced in front of him and he frantically tried to keep the transport aloft in the sky.
