Sunlight streaming through a white, bulbous cloud
Nature playing with the heavenly shroud
A beautiful white infinitely expanding plume

Far below, down on the plains
A small sphere has been thrown, and now remains
Moments later, shattered by an almighty BOOM!

Stumps of legs, limbs and digits
Flung high in the air like tortured midgets
Fall down with a sickening SLURP upon the ground

For the grunts, jackals and elites
They are matched by an enemy who need not creep
And their measure in combat has finally been found

Armour of green, assault rifle barking
He shows no difficulty in parking
Multiple armour piercing rounds into their heads

Orange tracer from his rifle, flying
There is no point in actually denying
That what was once an elite, is now very much dead

Upon close inspection of the green hero in action
He is causing the aliens to lose traction
by pumping bullets into their little legs

But why the legs you wonder quickly
As he dispatches a small alien briskly
Another alien kneels nearby, for its life he begs

The Master Chief is not at all puzzled
And into its mouth, shoves the red hot muzzle
Finishing it off with a massive explosion of gore

He states 'You'll notice when knee capped
A good thing to do when you have them trapped
As they don't run half as fast as they did before'

Maybe if they had come a little better prepared
More humans would have been killed, even less of them spared
And they wouldn't be faced with this awful problem

But as the dust settles on the bloody remains
Everyone is dead, so no one complains
Except for the sole surviving hell spawned goblin

The Master Chief reefs out the empty clip
And from his hand he lets it slip
Watching the magazine clatter away

Protected by the best
Mankind can now rest
Thanks to the Master Chief who saved the day
