Season's tidings bring Halo content updates
As the year ends, 343i has released some content updates. The Winter Update for Halo Infinite has dropped, bringing welcome additions like a custom game browser. A week of Halo Infinite news starts with a campaign and multiplayer drop
The Xbox Games Showcase kicked off today, and 343 has posted an associated Waypoint article on the game's multiplayer reveal. In addition to details on the new BTB mode and customization, the rest of the week will have gameplay and some lore drops from Grim. Halo Infinite will support crossdevice play and progression
Some good news from Xbox Wire today, in regards to Infinite:
That’s why we’re excited to announce Halo Infinite will support multiplayer cross-play and cross-progression when it releases later this year. That means if you’re playing on PC, you can play with your friends on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Sparky of halomodtesters Releases Kit for Modding Just About Everything via Halo: CE on Mac
Sparky of halomodtesters on YouTube is putting a lot of work into some pretty cool stuff for Halo: CE, particularly on Mac in this case. Here's what they had to say:
I've been working hard on my Zeus-related projects as I mentioned over the years. The Zeus projects were experiments, and they are generally concluded. Today, I am announcing an application that I am developing to replace the Halo Custom Edition Halo Editing Kit programs. This all-in-one application is called "silence". I frequently post results of the day's work on this application on my YouTube channel, "halomodtesters".
The application is ready for a user test, so I simply recorded a video of its current capability of reading .actor tag files (used by the Halo Editing Kit).
Here is a beta tester build, with fully-featured .actor tag file format support. The .zip archive is encrypted. The password is "beta tester". Thanks for your interest! (MacGyver10 15:03:43 UTC)

Development Update #3 on the Master Chief Collection. Xbox One X Enhancements, Possible Addition of Halo Custom Edition Content and Lots of Other Goodies!
While pointing out a particular possible addition to the MCC, AfroRyan let us know last week (while I was on vacation) that another MCC Development Update is out for your reading! A LOT of cool stuff in there including some proposed images of the new menu system, Halo: Custom Edition maps possibly being added and other engineering and game-specific wonders! Update #2 on the 'Master Chief Collection' Work 343 Industries is Doing Behind the Scenes (Custom Games Browser Confirmed!)
There are a lot of things to like about the recent Master Chief Collection Update that went live on HaloWaypoint yesterday. Font from Halo Custom Edition Remade for Download
Sparky let us know that he took the font that Guerilla uses in the Halo Editing Kit (used to edit and create maps for the Halo Custom Edition game) and remade it for download and use elsewhere. New Halo 5 Hotfix Corrects 'Heavy Aim' and Customization Item Ordering
There's a new hotfix live for Halo 5 mentioned at HaloWaypoint that fixes the 'heavy aim' that some players have been experiencing in gameplay. Also, a small bullet in the list, but armor and helmets are now ordered alphabetically and by rarity, rather than the order you unlocked them in. (About time!) (MacGyver10 22:06:15 UTC)

Battle Golf Gameplay Shows Off New Custom Scoring, Item Detection and Objective Markers Coming in New Update
You have to deal with Gamespot's wonderful video player, but if you want to see some gameplay of the new 'Battle Golf' gametype coming to Halo 5, it's up now. Kind of gives you an idea of custom scoring, item detection and objective markers that are coming to Forge and what it sounds like to have a grunt as your gameplay announcer too!
