May 17, 2014 Link to this post Maybe Waypoint should switch to Saturdays Not sure how I managed to miss it this week, since I was back in internet land by Wednesday... but somehow, the Weekly Halo Bulletin came and went without an acknowledgement. If you haven't read it yet, you should go take a look. There's information on Matchmaking changes, an interesting Knowledge Drop (comprised of Twitter-originated questions about the Halo universe and answers from the 343 team), and a screenshot spotlight on that most underrated weapon, the Sticky Detonator. As always, there's a local copy, should you need it. Sorry for the delay! (Louis Wu 16:24:45 UTC)

A great speedrun, playlist updates, new elements, and some slick screenshots - go read! (It's local, too - as usual.)

The latest Halo Bulletin was posted yesterday evening - and it looks like, going forward, it might start appearing earlier in the day on Wednesdays. Go give it a read - you'll learn about a Bravo injury (boo!), new matchmaking stuff (yay!), more pics of the Spartan Laser we mentioned not too long ago, a recap of the Beyond Entertainment Spring Showdown, and some cool Wraith pics. You can also read it locally, if you choose. (Louis Wu 22:51:47 UTC)

April 21, 2014 Link to this post Help us Gaben, you’re our only hope
Earlier this month we found out that Gamespy planned to shut down its servers before the end of the year leaving Halo PC and Halo CE players without a hosting service. robofin117 let us know that a group of fans started a petition for Halo PC/CE support on Steam. So far over 15,000 people have signed. Even if you don't sign, it’s worth checking out some of the neat stories from supporters talking about what the game means to them. (colindosaj 06:40:12 UTC)
April 17, 2014 Link to this post Bravo: Saving Lives, Every Day Yesterday's Halo Bulletin is lighter than usual - mostly playlist updates and info about a new Spartan Assault feature - but there are also some answers to community questions, and some cool Adrift screens. April 4, 2014 Link to this post Pfft. He thinks he found all the cameras. Once again, we're late posting news of the Halo Bulletin - which is sad, because it's a great read this week. Word of the Bravo-Cam, descriptions of Matchmaking updates, the skinny on a new Mega Bloks release (and giveaway!), news about Spartan Assault, an interview with a community Forger, and a dozen grenade screenshots fill this issue. You can, as always, read it in our Halo Bulletin Archive, if you so desire. (Louis Wu 17:41:31 UTC)
April 1, 2014 Link to this post The Halo Community, and its influence - one fan's view Hey, let's do a little catch-up. It's been a busy week (and yes, it really did just start). A few days ago, Gagnon 30 wrote an article looking at the "Halo Community" (it's in quotes because in this context it's pretty hard to define), and what they want - or, more accurately, what they SAY they want. Or what SOME of them say they want. Hmm... these qualifiers could become a pretty deep rabbit hole if I'm not careful... Anyway, Gagnon 30 has a pretty strong view about this subject, and you can read his thoughts (and comment on the article) at Teabag or Die. (Louis Wu 18:30:03 UTC)
March 27, 2014 Link to this post Donuts and Cat Shirts Another Wednesday, another Halo Bulletin. This one recaps last week's win over community pros, discusses upcoming playlist changes (in detail), lets you know that Halo: Escalation #4 is live (with a link to a preview, even), and shows you some very pretty Haven-themed screenshots. It can be found locally, as usual, in our Halo Bulletin Archive, as well. (Thanks, serpx.) (Louis Wu 16:23:58 UTC)
March 26, 2014 Link to this post Shout Outs to Dave Lang
Last weeks Bombcast had a segment on community and developer interaction and our little site and awesome community got a mention (starts at 27:05). What I want to know is who came up with a fictional explanation as to why Master Chief couldn't originally sprint? (colindosaj 18:38:18 UTC)

March 3, 2014 Link to this post More info on Cortana The Verge got hold of a couple of screenshots of the upcoming 'Cortana' digital assistant for Windows 8 phones - looks like Microsoft is going with an animated circle instead of a female avatar. Thanks to Revenant1988, who found this at Engadget. (Louis Wu 21:51:29 UTC)
February 28, 2014 Link to this post 3D printing is changing film doober187 pointed out a video on YouTube from Legacy Effects, born out of Stan Winston Studio - it discusses how 3D printing is revolutionizing special effects in mass media (mostly movies). The Halo diorama, created as part of the runup to Halo 3, plays a significant role (almost a minute and a half of this 8-minute piece). The Halo content starts around 1:10 or so - but the whole thing is a fascinating watch. (Louis Wu 22:13:49 UTC)
