Halo Reloaded at That Weasel
Ross Mills writes to remind us that his 'Halo Reloaded' trailer can be found at That Weasel Television. There are two versions - a large 3.7 mb version and a small (sub-1mb) version, both in WMP9 format. Take a look! (Louis Wu 12:24:14 UTC)

As always... PA is on point
Tycho, of Penny Arcade, gave a quick E3 rundown in today's strip... and Halo 2 was included. Covers the subject pretty well. Thanks to Ross Mills for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 17:50:06 UTC)

Greg Snook interview now up
Ross Mills, among others, pointed out that the Greg Snook interview we mentioned a couple of days ago is available for download at BreakManX.com. (The site was down from overload earlier today... but it's up at the moment.) I haven't had time to actually LISTEN to it - it's over three hours long, and weighs in at 85 mb, zipped - but it's had some decent reviews on our forum. Check it out! (Louis Wu 00:01:21 UTC)

Oh... my... eyes...
Gamespot has posted 6 spankin' new screenshots of Halo 2 - and all I can say is, bumpmapping is astounding stuff. You must see these. Thanks to Ross Mills for the heads-up. Update: these images are also available (at a smaller size, but without the gamespot imprint) from the IGN media page. (Louis Wu 07:49:23 UTC)

Halo Rhapsody
Ross Mills has created a Halo movie in which (I think) the Queen song 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is acted out, using Halo characters. Ross wasn't able to figure out how to convert his WMP9 movie into a format we could read, so he's gone elsewhere for hosting; That Weasel Television has put it up... and given it the That Weasel Seal of Approval. Maybe someday I'll get to see it - but in the meantime, if you have a computer that can view WMP9 films, head over to That Weasel TV and grab this 21 meg movie. (Louis Wu 00:03:57 UTC)

Wow, that's a lot of blood.
Hehe... for another take on the OXM Halo 2 scan issue, check out Penny Arcade's comic yesterday. (More info is available in the news, as well.) Thanks to Ross Mills for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 08:41:16 UTC)

Free Strategy Guide/Remote - UK XBoxGamer
Ross Mills points out that this month's issue of XBoxGamer (on sale in the UK as of April 11) comes bundled with a free copy of Prima's Official Strategy Guide (nice - I paid $15 for that a while back) and an offer for a free Xbox DVD remote if you subscribe. Not too shabby! (Louis Wu 12:18:45 UTC)

Living up to expectations (or not)
Another Halo mention in an online comic - check out If Then Else. Thanks to Ross Mills for the heads-up. (Louis Wu 17:50:28 UTC)

It's not cool to stockpile VX nerve gas.
Ross Mills points out that if you register on the Red vs Blue forums, you get access to otherwise unreleased RvB movies. At the moment, that means a Public Service Announcement... but in the future, it'll give you early access to unreleased episodes. (Louis Wu 13:14:00 UTC)

GURPS Halo?
Interesting. Looks like poena.dare came into posession of an interesting Bungie webcam shot recently... details are over at Bungie Sightings. Thanks to Ross Mills for the heads-up. (Shame on you, pd, for not letting us know!) (Louis Wu 13:31:58 UTC)

Fan Fiction changes (again), plus stories
11 stories for you today in the Fan Fiction section:

Another change has occurred... there are no more hard-coded copies of stories; the entire section is run from databases. (All old hard-coded links should continue to work - if they don't, please let me know - but the whole system has become more portable.) This does NOT mean that authors don't need to provide a 'pagename' for their story - the databases still require it, it's just used differently. Again, any glitches you run across should be reported immediately. (Louis Wu 20:25:23 UTC)

Hide and Seek, round one... complete!
Ross Mills, putting together the work of three forumgoers, posts the solution to Warbow's Hide-and-Seek puzzle mentioned a couple of days ago. Read Warbow's confirmation here. (Louis Wu 23:10:42 UTC)

Go ahead... touch my nose.
Heh - you ever find yourself getting a bit loud at a Halo LAN party? Seems like the Penny Arcade boys did... (Thanks to Ross Mills for the heads-up.) (Louis Wu 17:18:35 UTC)

Pretty pictures
A couple of cool sketches from Tina C. (including a Christmas one), and a very nice composite by Ross Mills (would easily serve as a desktop image, but I was working on Miscellaneous Art, so...) - all can be found in the Miscellaneous Art section. (Louis Wu 22:19:07 UTC)

MORE Wallpaper
Ross Mills sent in a desktop image he's been using for a while. It combines one of Bungie's wallpapers with a poem called 'The Reaper' - written by T. GhostWolf Davidson and used in a fake 'Cortana Letter' that circulated recently. (You can read more about the situation in this forum thread.) Ross' desktop, meanwhile, can be found in our Wallpaper section. (Louis Wu 13:17:01 UTC)

Clan listing, and contest for artwork
Weekend link roundup - a site for 'X-Squad' was pointed out to us; they're a Halo clan that plays on Gamespy. Visit their site if you're interested in joining, or would like to challenge 'em. (Thanks, Griffon.) Also, Ross Mills writes to say that his Halo Ideas site was far more popular than he expected, and has decided to overhaul his site. To that end, he's set up a contest; he's looking for artwork for the new design. Details can be found on the site. (Louis Wu 13:35:24 UTC)

Halo ideas?
Ross Mills has started up a site called 'Halo Ideas' - and as he says on our forum, he's looking for content to fill it. If you have any speculations about either Halo 2 or Halo Online (neither of which have actually been announced, of course, and nothing says they won't end up being the same game), drop him a line! (Louis Wu 17:24:09 UTC)
