'Spartans Never Walk Alone', New True Light Emblem In Honor of thecrzedspartan's Family
Along with the 'Hammer Storm' update, every player of Halo 5 will be receiving a REQ pack with the 'True Light' animated emblem in honor of community member, Adam (aka thecrzedspartan), who along with his wife Rebecca, lost his two daughters in an electrical fire at their family home. Halo 5's Free Updates for The Summer Named and Teased
You can read a brief blurb on today's 'Hammer Storm' update on the Xbox Wire, but the big news is the reveal of the next four months' worth of free content updates coming to Halo 5. Starting in March we have 'Ghosts of Meridian', in April we have 'Memories of Reach', in May we have 'Hog Wild' and finally in June, 'Warzone Firefight'. Not much is said about them, but we know a lot more now than we did yesterday!

Hammer Storm Trailer Reveals 'Warzone Firefight' Coming to Halo 5: Guardians
343 Industries revealed the ins and outs of their 'Hammer Storm' update yesterday on Twitch, but their full trailer for the content and the entire release notes came out today! Head over to Halo Waypoint to read the content update notes. If you watch the trailer, you'll also see small hints of the coming soon (this year) to Halo 5 mode, 'Warzone Firefight', which hearkens back to the PvE days of Reach and ODST. First Grifball Gameplay Footage for Halo 5

Halo Community Update - 02/19/16 ('The Storm Is Coming')

Halo's Arbiter Will Kick Battletoad Butt In Chicago via Killer Instinct Soon
We now can see a little more action than before from the Arbiter character that will be in the upcoming season 3 DLC for Killer Instinct. There's also some clarification from Frankie (via NeoGaf) in Nikko B201's post in our forums that this is not Thel, but more of a generic Arbiter that encompasses characteristics of multiple Arbiters. Pretty Sure That Incinerator Cannon Is Backwards Mr. Knight
Spartan armor from the Halo games would be quite handy in many other video games, but specifically in the notoriously difficult 'Super Ghosts N Ghouls'. The Hat-Loving Gamer took it upon himself to translate that armor and many of the weapons from Halo games into the classic video game, and the results are as one would expect when a cybernetic-supersolider's armor takes the place of plate mail from medieval times. Invisible Flood in Halo 3 Sounds Like the Worst Idea Ever

Multiverses In the Halo Universe?
Comic books have long used it to explain different looks, unintended consequences and jumps in their story, but I had never thought of the possibility of Halo having a multiverse as well. An Open Rebuke of Halo 5's Mark V Alpha Armor
When 343 Industries released the Mark V Alpha armor, there were those that were excited about Halo CE's iconic armor returning to the game, and those that wished they dropped the alpha and gave us the classic Chief armor just updated for Halo 5. Halo Community Update - 02/12/16 ('Hammer Storm Preview')
The latest Community Update went live last week, showcasing the upcoming February update now title 'Hammer Storm'. There are new REQs, new armor, new weapons, a new map and new game modes coming our way as just a portion of the love month's update. Additionally, changes are coming to the color-picker for armor and emblems, with not only more color options on the way (I get my orange and Hyokin gets his purple finally!), but more choice in how they display! eSports, in particular Halo with their recent showing at the X Games, have been getting dogged for not being a 'real sport' since their inception. Play Soccer With a Warthog In 'Rocket League' Coming Next Week
Rocket League is a fairly popular game over on the Playstation, and it was announced yesterday that it's coming to Xbox One next week! The Halo connection here is that the Xbox One version of the game not only includes all the DLC that has been released so far for the PS version, it also includes a console-exclusive Gears of War car and of course, Halo's Warthog! DrBizz Still Breaking Into Places He Shouldn't Be on Halo 2's Cairo Station
DrBizz has long been a legend in the Halo tricking community with many 'firsts' to his name. You can add another to that repertoire with his recent admission to the area under the elevator death zone on Cairo Station in Halo 2.
In his own words: "Hey friends! DrBizz here again. It's been a while! I just released a new video showing my most recent accomplishment, which is another previously unexplored area on Cairo Station. This was done on The Master Chief Collection and thanks to all the new crazy skulls it was possible. It was a really outrageous project, where I had countless fails and setups that never worked. It involves actually going inside the famous "cutscene room" and blasting from there through a HUGE distance of void space through the level and ending up underneath the death barrier that blocks access to the large room under the elevator. This trick is very special to me, because I thought it was impossible for so long. But like so many other challenges, it just took an outrageous idea and a ton of work, and 11 years after the game came out we got in." (MacGyver10 18:09:22 UTC) (permalink)

Halo 5: Guardians 'Arena REQ Bundle' Coming Later This Month and Includes The Mark V Alpha Armor Set
We had the 'Warzone REQ Bundle' at launch, and now it looks like 343 Industries is bringing out the 'Arena REQ Bundle' later this month on the 16th. It works very similar to the Warzone bundle, but this one does include an automatic unlock of the Mark V Alpha armor! You can pre-order it already on Amazon if interested.

Halo's Arbiter Coming to Killer Instinct for Ssn 3 of The Fighting Game's DLC
With some pretty killer news last week, 343 Industries and Double Helix have teamed up to bring a favorite Halo Character into their fighting game. This isn't the first time a Halo character has been in a fighting game, but it is the first time an established character makes their debut! (Thanks GrimBrother One and Morhek!)
