Ice Ice Baby
Yes, we're crazy-behind on news. Sorry. The big thing this weekend seems to be ALS Ice Bucket Challenges - there was the 343 group that underwent a dousing in the Halo Bulletin this week, and then there was Jen Taylor and Steve Downes as Master Chief and Cortana (awesome), and Marty O'Donnell doing his best to stay on key with the Monk Chant while being slowly soaked with very, very cold water. There were many, many more - but we're going to stop there, because the day's not over yet and there's still quite a bit left to get done! We'll be back on track soon... promise.

Halo 3 ODST AI Battle - ODST Squad in Firefight

Polygon talked with Dennis Reese, senior producer on TMCC, about the technical improvements of Halo 3 and Halo 4. It's good to see that Halo 3 and Halo 4 are receiving a lot more than just a framerate and resolution bump. ...or is it armour? Anyway, MoaHerder from HaloArchives posted an analysis of the Halo 5 beta trailer that points out some interesting things that I completely missed, doh! The most interesting part of the analysis is that MoaHerder highlights that Nihilus Shadow found that one Spartan models has 104 written in braille on the chest plate. It might just be a fun little easter egg, or it might have bigger implications in terms of who we can expect to see in Halo 5. Thanks to zofinda for pointing this out - go read! Halo 5 Guardians Beta Trailer
343i released a Halo 5 beta trailer that shows what players can expect to get their hands on in the beta. The beta trailer gives you a first look at some of the maps, weapons, and Spartans models that will be available come December 29th. The Halo Channel
During the Xbox Briefing at Gamescom, 343i announced that they would be bringing the Halo Channel to Xbox One. The Halo Channel acts as a centralized hub for all your Halo content, and allows you to access live game broadcasts, community content, manage your Halo career, and more. MacGyver10 pointed out that the trailer for the Halo Channel provides some more info on Agent Locke's character and shows a possible new skull included in the Master Chief Collection - interesting. Salvation Mod Walkthrough
A few days ago, AbandonedCashew released a Halo 4 objective-based Infection mode called 'Salvation'. Mr. Pokephile decided to make an 18 minute video detailing what the mode is and all the cool features that are now available for players to tinker around with. Dub-misstep
Lluís SD let us know that there are some Halo fans in Spain that are unhappy with the lack of Castilian Spanish localization for Halo 2 Anniversary (Halo 2 was supposed to have it, but was released with 'neutral spanish' - focused more on Latin America than Spain). They've got a Facebook page and a blog, and they want Microsoft to hear them! Add your voice!
