Invasion goes the way of the dino
343i executive producer, Josh Holmes, stopped by the Beyond forums and confirmed that Invasion won't be part of Halo 5 Guardian's multiplayer suite. He did mention that there are plans for large-scale multiplayer modes, which leads me believe that he is alluding to something other than traditional BTB. Thanks, Bounce-A-Gon.

HCS Cup #1 Cancelled
343 Industries announced that HCS Cup 1 will be cancelled due to party connectivity problems. Although Halo: The Master Chief Collection has received a handful of patches over the past 5 months, connectivity and online matchmaking issues still persist. Hopefully we will receive further updates regarding HCS and connectivity fixes sooner than later. Kotaku is currently running on story on the situation that details some of the specifics. Halo 5 Cover Art Revealed
For the past few days the Halo community has been hard at work trying to piece together the Hunt the Truth star map images. The mystery has been solved and the final image was revealed by Xbox Wire earlier today. The art reveals the inclusion of Blue Team as well as some new Spartans. There's also a animated reveal of the image on the Xbox YouTube Page. Expect more juicy details in June during E3!

Hunt the Truth - are you keeping up?
Hunt the Truth is heating up considerably - here's a rundown of what's been happening.
- Xbox emailed star maps yesterday - you can unlock images by clicking on flickering stars. A visit to this thread on reddit will show you what's out there (that the community knows about), and how it all fits together. (It's looking pretty clear that Blue Team will be back in Halo 5!)
- The official page is now accepting theories - go share yours! (They'll take text, images, and video.) According to this post at ReadyUpLive, you can use this interface to submit your voice for use in future episodes! (Read the post for full details.)
- Finally, Episode 5 has been released - go listen!

Wow - this first came to light during GDC last month, but we're just hearing about it now, from the company's press release. 3DPlusMe, a company that will put your high-res scanned face on a 3D model, has licensed content from Halo 5: Guardians - and will be able to put your face on your favorite Spartan. Halo 4 - Unused Aim Sway
Lord Zedd dug deeper into Halo 4's code and found more hidden secrets. This video shows aim swaying when scoped. According to Lord Zedd, the degree of 'swayness' changes depending on zoom level and that the sway can be scaled with moving and crouching - interesting! Thanks, gamerguy2002. Microsoft issues DMCA takedowns against Halo Online modders
According to Ars Technica, Microsoft is serving DMCA takedown notices to those who have accessed Halo Online content and are outside Russian territory. So far the takedown specifcally targets GitHub's repositories, but this has also affected any YouTube videos that feature Halo Online content. Thanks, arithmomaniac.
