Yes 1700 works for me since what I'm really trying to do is avoid those 3000 word parts. Notice I'm calling them parts and not chapters. I'm thinking about 3 parts equals a chapter so my 100 part "book" is really going to be 33 chapters long. I'm hoping to put out two parts a week so I'll be writing this series for the next year. If you like it then that should be a good thing. I want to be done before Halo 2 comes out since that will probably take my free time up for a while.

I say it coulda been longer at least, 1000 words is pretty short, try for like 1300-infinity

Good to hear from you too Arch. I'm going for that "book" this time. I've shortened my format to around 1000 to 1500 word parts and added the CBN (Covenant Broadcasting Network). Other than that, I decided to write using the storyline of the Portals of the Old Ones. There's a lot of material there so I think I might be able to get that 100 part series I've been thinking about -- But it is too early to tell. Just a hint about the portals, "the universe is very, very big, why would you think there's only one of you?" I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the support.
