Excellent! Clear, precise and intriguing. I spose MC would seem immortal, huh. I mean he just won't lay down and DIE. Which is good of course. Unless we're talking multiplayer...

I thought they trained the Spartans on Reach instead of Earth because it was an all-military planet so there would be no fear of the any civilians seeing them. Anyway, the point I was just trying to make was that since they know the Covenant know the location of Earth, I just dont think they would pull him from Earth. But its not a big deal.

Good point about the name thing, however since I had the Covenant referring to the MC mant times, I needed something they could call him because otherwise "the human with green armor" over and over again got really frustrating. My thought is that the Covenant have seen him nearly defeated so many times and survive and come back to beat them that they have assigned this name to him. Just a way to word it so that it's easier to understand who the Covenant are talking about.
And the first point about the testing, that would seem correct, however why didn't the Spartans simply train on Earth then? Because they were a secret, yes, but also because Reach was the best equipped facility to train them on. Earth is our capital but not the main military stronghold. Since Reach was destroyed, the only viable place to work in this field is Zion. For reasons which will soon be made clear. =D

Great story. There are only two things I find unlikely
1. I doubt good ol' MC would be pulled from Earth to do some 'minor' tests. They would do it somewhere on Earth.
2. I doubt they would call MC the Immortal One. From my interpretation of the very begging of Halo: The Flood, the Covenant take the art of spoken tongue very seriously. Most within the Covenant do not think that humans merit a name, so I doubt they would name any paticular human, especially such a good name as the Immortal One. Even if it is MC.

Theres huge skill in that, it is just a tiny bit drab though, no offense. There is lots of detail, enough to paint a mental picture of exactly what it's talking about.

Well, he's the only punisher. There isn't more than one "Prophet of Retribution", so to say he was "a" pusisher was to insinuate that there was more than one. At least that's what I tried to get across. I suppose I could have said "the punisher", but it's too late to make that change now. =/

Oh no. Is this another one of those "Cortana is rampant" fics? ;-)
Very good, especially considering how few authors these days choose to make sure everything is good before they submit their fics. Good job Scim, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.
One thing: "The Prophet of Retribution was punisher of those soldiers who confused their loyalties or got too ambitious for their own good."
What happened to the "a" before punisher. In any case, I really don't want to nitpick beyond that because this was so good. Keep it up!
