On Legendary their weapons never overheat. I've done a study of such. The Grunts, Jackals, and Elites just stream plasma at you, I've never seen one overheat.

I never use the plasma pistol/pistol combo. It doesn't work all that well with me--I always miss the Elite with the pent-up plasma shot. I just charge in with the Plasma rifle. I can take on four Elites in Legendary with that tactic and live through it (just plasma rifle, no grenades or tricky guns), but I'm in a world of hurt.

In the game I like to carry 2 plasma rifles, and when one overheats, I switch to the other...can really cause mayhem if you do the same with plasma pistols

9.5/10 Sometimes in the game scope dosent care about the plasma overheating, he just tosses a frag grenade and shoot the SOB when his shield is gone.

Plus, in the game, some Elites send a stream of plasma at you without it overheating.

depending on how fast these short bursts were, a plasma rifle will still overheat, but meh, i'm just wondering.

And most of the marines couldn't get close enough to do enough damage to the elite wiht their shotguns.

kinda short, but still good, quite amazing how one Elite can take on a large fire team of marines...wouldn't his plasma rifle overheat? 9.5/10
