Not bad, I like the fact it seems like the humans are ordinary Joes/Janes leaves open a lot of possibilities. One thing, it might have been nice to tell the reader the name of the main character. I don't know if it is a male or female character either. Or maybe I just missed it.
Keep up the writing.
