Diablo, there is no MC clone. There is a fake Cortana but this is the REAL MC. The MC died and was brought back to life, however he lost 4 years of his memories. Does that answer your question?

Twist at the end? Nah... Everything is just like it has been set up throughout the story.
Nothing but dust and echoes if you ask me. The UNSC and Covenant allies are running the Forerunner guantlet, for what, so that they can capture the new Alpha Halo and transport to Archons, Nomdians, and Praetor to ask for help. Well in a previous chapter, the Archons, Nomdians, and Praetor have all agreed NOT to help the humans and Covenant. This is a battle they must fight on their own.
If you ask me, it is the end, the end of all humanity and the Covenant too. Is that the "twist" you are waiting for?
