Main, if you're reading this far back, I would just like to say that I finished reading this guide to writing stories, and would highly recommend posting it on every page so other newbys, such as myself, can make sure we're not screwing ourselves over by writing shockingly bad sotries.
  Good on ya mate!
  Cheers, Conrad

To be honest, I didn't read it all. But what I skimmed was very insightfull.
  All newbies must read this!!

I thought a newbie was a beginner that may improve, a newb was short for newbie, and a n00b was someone that sucked, never tries to get better, and uh . . . sucks

			Yeah, that's true.
That's why we shouldn't give n00bs a second chance. They were supposed to have read the guidelines, and if they didn't, it's their fault.

I always thought that a newb was someone turning into a n00b, and we all start out as newbies.
Oh well. I wonder where I am at. My Alignment test didn't make it this update. I wonder if it's coming in next update.
Actually, I was here for some time. I followed carefully, but I never wrote a single character on here. It's part of the way I come in. I observe from a distance, and if it's safe, I come in. I just realized that the quality was dropping, regulars were becoming overrun, and I had to act.
So I wrote a short story, using the code. I made one minor spelling mistake, and I spell words using the Canadian way, so words like neighbor and armor and color will be spelled differently.
Anyhow, I guess you're right. I am very fundamentalist, and very right-winged. But After seeing what n00bs did to my internet club, you wouldn't be talking. It's disbanded now, because it was overrun. I made the mistake of giving n00bs a second chance.
  - Dave.
Oh, and stories shouldn't be just shoot-em-up. They should contain a bit of suspense and mystery. They should be written carefully.

Conrad, even if you lose QT's style of violence, PLEASE keep his sense of style. Too many stories are just a bunch of sentences and scenes, and not enough have an integrating style front to back. Whatever else Tarantino does, he understands style.

I'm back! And thank you Main, cause every time i tried the code it screwed up, and i now know why. Many people on this site would know i bailed from it cause everyone kept on driving me crazy with their "Use the code" comments which were really confusing. But, im back, and am hopefully better than before. My stories will now actually have a plot, and i have decided to replace my Quentin Tarantino-esque violence with hollywood-style action sequences. Also, i just found out that someone had been using my name ages ago to pay out other people's work and dump the blame on me. And believe me, if i ever find that person...
So anyway, thanks for that Mainevent, my stories will try to use the code, and you'll probably know if it hasn't worked!
Oh yeah, I FINALLY got a copy of Halo, so my stories will definitely be a lot more accurate.
Cheers everyone Conrad Lauf aka TGC aka Connie

Well, I don't consider myself a nOOb, even though my first fan fic was crap. (But I've only written two!) So what's the difference between a nOOb, newb, newbie, etc? Also, I just got here (about 1-2 weeks ago) so does that automatically make me a nOOb? Man, that would suck...

Dave Luck, remember this... "What goes around comes around." You know, karma and all that crap.
Remember, though, that you are rather overreacting. You and me haven't been here that long, although we are by no way n00bs. Although we can see the ravages of the n00b invasion clearly, we haven't been here in the "glory days" of HBO- so, we obviously have nothing to compare these dark, forbidding days to.
Actually, that was confusing. I'll just finish with a piece of ultra-n00b self-advertisement:
READ MY "INVASION OF THE NOOBS" part one!

Main, my mom said she doesn't have your underwear... sorry, man.
Anyways, great rant... er... I mean, story. The action was impressive, and the plot is something I could get into. Those n00bs sound scary. I mean, who ever thought they could get Ebola from eating rubber snakes...?
Nah, just joking, good point, very much like Sterfryes, but better (in my opinion). All those n00bs and newbs need to read this, or, better yet - deserve to read this. Great job.

			Alright, alright!
Let's go out and wage war against n00bs!
Anyone who doesn't read the guidelines should be flamed, flamed, flamed, and flamed again.
Remember Dean Albury? I do. Whoever wrote that peice of crap deserved a big, fat "STFU." and should have been shot on spot.
I don't care if a single execution costs twenty-three and a half million dollars for the lawyers, (Liars!) and the investigators, forensic scientists, and all that crap, n00bs should be slaughtered wholesale.
  Remember what I say:
  FUCK 'EM ALL. NO MERCY.
  - Dave.

			Nice job.
I help edit a journal, and I think that the standard for spaces after a period has changed from two to one. I haven't seen folks using two spaces for years, since on computers that adds too much space.
