Chapter 7 A group of marines came in black and dirty. Then a group of two Elites, one Jackal, and two Grunts. The Jackal and Grunts came up and greeted us. "Hello human." an Elite said in a deep voice. The grunts also said in a squeaky voice," Hello, hello!" Everyone let down their assault rifles. We all shook hands but against our wills. "Why are they here?" a Lieutenant named Jackel asked. "The red Elite named Toma who seemed to be in command answered," We didn't want to die and we have vital information that you can use." "Loco and Cazy here are tactical experts," Toma said pointing at the red and silver Grunts," Me and Fomu know where the next attack will be and she," he now pointed to the Jackal," is Chali who knows how to make our weaponry with the right parts." Toma finished. The black (not actual black only Pvt. Jackson) dirty marines were Pvt. Jackson, Lt. Coy, Pvt. Peters, Sgt. Mace, and Pvt. Lickar. All were specialized in combat and Lickar was a sniper who was a girl, go figure, and Sgt. Mace had brought the new allies. The group of marines had been on the next floor up and had found, well heard the grunts shouting in their stupid voices. General Wattson asked if the top floors were still the top floors. Lt. Coy answered that the two above them were the only floors to had survived and that they were in a really deep crater. He finished explaining so I yelled for everyone to move out.

We got as high as we could but then the stairs stopped and we came out at the top of the building. We were still too low to just pull ourselves up so I called for a ladder. A midget marine came up (or down) to me with the ladder. His name was Lt. Loct. He was very strong and built for his size. I took the ladder and climbed up onto land, and all there was was land for as far as I could see. I called for everyone to start coming up and the midget came up first. He didn't need any help even though he still couldn't pull himself up because he was able to jump up. I gazed at him but he couldn't see because of my helmet. I thought that maybe he was a Spartan but then is said no way or he would've been in the SII project. I was proven wrong. The midget marine said," Hello, Sam." I told myself how hadn't I noticed him while marines kept going past me. Finally I came back to reality and walked forward.

A young, headstrong looking marine called for Evac. The sun boiled on the skin because of the hole in the Ozone made by the nuke. The ten minutes we were here some marines just looked into the clouds of Haven. Other marines loaded new clips into their AR or finished a low clip with five rounds into the dirt. Some would talk to each other about the event that just happened and a sniper tried to see towards the other side of the valley with the 10x zoom. Someone let out a yell saying," Here they come!!" The pelicans flew in close and a breeze cooled the faces of sweating marines but I didn't notice because of my suits gel-stuff. We loaded into the ten pelicans. The vehicles in the base would be picked up later. I was with the Covenant and some marines. The Jackal had turned off his shield. The pilot hesitated when she saw the Covenant but I told her they're with us. I took off my helmet and felt a cool breeze from the inside air-conditioner.

We were about to hit the atmosphere when the engine engine broke down. The Pelican headed towards the surface of Haven. I looked out the rear window and saw the other following us in a direct course. A red alarm went off and parachutes fell out of the top compartments in the Pelican. "Holy ****!" yelled a marine Another kept on saying, "Were all going to die, were all going to die!" I put on my parachute. The rest did the same. We had to jump. I opened an emergency door on the side and held on to a bar. I barked at the marines to start jumping. The marines got in line holding the bars on the roof. The Covenant came up but before I could tell them how the parachute worked they jumped. The pilot finally went but before I jumped I strapped on a M6D, my MA7B-P, and stuffed extra clips into my pack. I zipped up and jumped. Many others had started to get out of the other Pelicans. I went zoomed downward and counted for when to take it out. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, I pulled the cord and the parachute didn't come out. I kept on pulling. It still wouldn't come out I was almost to the point of where I couldn't I was too low so I pulled my emergency cord.

The parachute came out and I was lifted upward. I slowly looked at all the other people. My HUD suddenly turned on. I looked at the radar, nothing. I looked at motion detectors, nothing. Heat, nothing. I couldn't see what was wrong but then I did. Plasma fire filled the skies. I looked at Toma and saw him shooting back at the Covenant on the surface of Haven. He really was with us but marines were dieing. I grabbed my pistol and zoomed into a group of grunts and picked them off. A horde of Elites came out and shot into their necks. They fell and marines started with their M6D's also. My group that was in the pelican I was in landed and ran behind the boulders. Hunters came out from the wide opening bunched side by side holding their armors together to make a wall type thing. Green glowed from their fuel-rod cannons.
