These events take place directly after the fall of reach.
Also it will explain the reason for multiplayer.
Dr. Halsey typed quickly on her computer, after she sent Cortana to go with the spartan she had to work later to fill in her hologram's time. She was sending a message to the military board to ask if they would renew her spartan project for the 26th time, or the 25th, she couldn't remember. she knew it was useless but she couldn't let the human race be wiped out. But right before she sent the plea she heard a THUMP... then an explosion.
Halsey went to the door of her office but then the thumps started coming closer, All she could do was wait. Then she heard plasma gunfire in the hallway She looked for a way to get out but the vent was obviously too small. after a small while the noise died down. the thumps came closer. The door burst open and a golden elite stood before her.
She looked in awe at the alien, It's plasma rifle in it's holster, and it's golden armor shimmered after the battle he just won. He simply pushed Halsey aside (knocking her out) he pushed the chair out of the way , put on what seemed to be infrared glasses closed the e-mail and started opening up documents. After a minute Dr. Halsey woke up, she saw the seemingly glasses and saw that they were translating English into his language. She slowly got up then gunned it for the door.
She had just gotten into the hallway when the elite noticed she was conscious and had gotten out his plasma rifle and started firing but Halsey ducked and ran even faster. She grabbed an assault rifle from the dead marine, his nametag reading TOM. She spun around and fired just in time for the elite to come out out of the room with his translating glasses still on. She hit him in the only spot that didn't cover his body. The bullets hitting the overshield on the other side and staying in his head.
She looked at the body, the golden suit read his vitality signs and immediately died down. She studied the corpse for a while, she took the glasses, and then she noticed a chip on his armor that was being protected by a plasma shield that died with the suit. It wasn't installed so she picked it up too. She was so preoccupied she hadn't realized colonel Strek running towards her with two ODST troopers holding assault rifles struggling to catch up with him.
"Thank god you're okay." he said, when he had gotten there. Halsey spun around in surprise and said "I... I didn't see you there." "I'm sorry I startled you." he said "What have you got there?" he said. "These appear to be translation glasses." she said raising the glasses, "...and this appears to be a computer chip." she said raising the chip and lowering the glasses. He then said "Please let me examine them." Halsey had almost forgot before he became a marine he was a high class scientist.
She handed the devices to him, he took it and said to the troopers "get those dog tags and ammo from that marine then take that monsters corpse to the analyzing wing... that's an order." As the ODST troopers took the corpse to the analyzing wing Halsey and the colonel took the items to the science lab. Strek analyzed the items and said " well you were right about the glasses, they will help us read there language, but this is actually a implant chip" he said pointing to the chip "it's effects seem to actually send signals through the body so it can live after it's been killed! but it appears that this is a prototype so none of the covenant has these yet" "Bring people back to life" she stuttered for a moment "that's amazing!" she said.
"But we may have to try it in an enclosed space because there specie's bodies may receive signals differently Strek said." "We have to use them on the spartan 2s Halsey said!" "We don't have enough money to clone these chips"Strek said "also I hate the feeling of playing god, haven't you seen Jurassic park Halsey." "Oh that was just a really old movie colonel" Halsey said "besides I don't think they'll turn into dinosaurs and we'll have to leave the island." "Fine..." the colonel said "we'll initiate the project."

Two weeks later, aboard the ss scavenger, above halo,in over
view with windows looking over a big training facility.
"All the spartan 2 corpses have been dug up Halsey" Strek said the chips will be activated shortly. "Good" said Halsey she hoped that this wouldn't go wrong. Then a scientist by the name of Henry Alpen said "activation sequence starting in 3-2-1." The Spartans seemed to have some sort of seizure then they got up and stood for while. Then they broke out into a fist fight! "What the hell is going on" said Halsey.
"The chip must have the side effect that I feared!" said Strek "It's brainwashing them into wanting to destroy humans!" Just then one of the Spartans held up another one and through him/her through the locked door of the weapons room, all the Spartans soon had weapons. We need to get out of here said Alpen a Spartan replied by noticing him and shooting through the window hitting him in the head with a sniper rifle.
Halsey was so stunned she couldn't move but Strek dragged her out of the room and closed the door. One of the Spartans held up a spnkr rocket launcher, stupidly shot and missed. hitting the ground that wasn't designed to hold up an explosion like that. one by one it sucked all the Spartans through soon to land on halo. Halsey and Strek got in a pelican and flew to Jupiter they met up with captain Zizem and told him what happened. "Okay Zizem said it's best we don't interfere, we'll send you back to your research facility soon.
