A/N: This is NOT some kind of Castlevania/Halo thingie, to let you know. Whether, it's a poem. I WILL start to submit stories/chapters again when I have the time, because as of late, I have been very busy. Now, let's go:

Lament of Innocence

Escaped from the Halo's clutch,
Used his severed leg as a bloody crutch,
All of those brave men that died,
It would've been nice if just one had survived.

But he had to protect humanity,
Keep his mind cool to prevent insanity,
As the Longsword fighter drifts through space,
The Covenant will be quick to give chase.

After one dizzy slipstream jump,
What he saw gave an adrenalin pump,
Earth had been nearly destroyed,
It was time to jump into the black void.

Grabbing his battle rifle off the rack,
He pressed the button and jumped out the back,
Down and down the Master Chief did fall,
He knew humanity wouldn't die at all...

A/N: Yeah, I know it wasn't any good; I'm a bit rusty since I haven't been writing very much. All comments are excepted.
