"click" "Hmm, what was that?", said a large green Elite. "Ah, your just hearing things Langran, you know these..." "Thwip" "Gordo? Gordo?", Langran said as he walked back down the hallway "Gasp, Gord...." "CRACK!!Thump." "Hmm, all to easy, these Covenant are getting dumber as they come", whispered a tall figure in Urban Camo ninja gear, he had a katana strapped to his waist and an MA5B strapped to his back, along with a holster for the silenced M6D handgun he wielded. He was Staff Sergeant Mick Rigginson, leader of the 3rd Shinobi Squadron, an elite group of assassins trained in the ways of ninjitsu, an ancient Japanese martial art, the way of the ninja. His mission was clear, rendezvous with the other 5 of his men in the central core (engine room) of the Covenant war cruiser, the "Endeavor", and place 100 lbs. of C4 on it's nuclear fusion reactor, but they had to wait until it was docked ( makes for a pretty nice explosion.).
Mick looked at his watch and said, "Almost 0200 hours, better finish here and get going." "BOOOM!" A large explosion was heard and rumbled the ship, knocking Sergeant Rigginson to the floor. "What the hell was that?!" he yelled. As alarms began to sound, Rigginson could hear fast-paced footsteps, they sounded large and clumsy. "Dammit! Here come the Hunters.", he mumbled as he put his pistol into it's holster. Mick looked around for a possible exit, to the left he heard the footsteps getting closer every second, and to the right was a heavily armored door that could only be accessed with a 3 digit number code. The door was labeled -ARMORY-. "Why can't there be ventilation shafts?! No more espionage movies for me, they're too coincidental. Oh well, guess I take on the Hunters.", Rigginson sighed, as he pulled out his pistol again. "Clink, Clunk, Clink, Clunk...." Mick stood poised with his firearm pointed forward, waiting for the right moment. "Clink, Clunk, Clink, Clunk...." The Hunters came into his view and his finger tensed up on the trigger, they kept on running down the hallway and didn't even notice Rigginson standing there. He stood there as the footsteps faded away, the alarms still blaring and the red lights flashing on the walls, as if a large battle was fought here and the blood was never cleansed from the walls. Mick put his gun in his holster.
"Well, I guess I follow them.", said Mick. He rushed to pull the dead bodies of the Elites into a shadow, as he pulled the last body he noticed a triangular object where Langran's body was. "This'll be useful.", whispered Mick. He picked up the object and it activated. Rigginson was no longer visible, he ran full speed to catch up to the Hunters, this was no problem. Gunshots could be heard further down the hallway where they were headed. As they got to the end the hallway widened into a large doorway, the door had been blown apart. The Hunters ran in and stopped. Gun shots, both human and Covenant could be heard in the large room, which looked like the engine room. Fire was blazing everywhere as debris fell. Purple, blue, and orange blood was splattered everywhere, the number of dead Covenant bodies seemed endless. As the Hunters fired shots from their fuel-rod cannons Mick pulled out his M6D and fired two rounds into the orange, exposed flesh of both of the Hunters. "Thanks guys, you served your purpose." he said. He holstered his pistol, once again, and unsheathed his katana and ran to an unsuspecting group of Grunts who were firing into the darkness. With one whirl of his body all 8 of the Grunts dropped to the ground, their bodies severed in half, Sergeant Rigginson's Urban Camo now had a new color added to it. "Great, don't I look pretty now."
Rigginson looked around trying to figure out where his team was, he looked around and noticed dents in the walls behind him with bullets laying on the ground below them. He then looked parallel to the dents and ran in that direction. As he neared to where he was headed he noticed a large pile, maybe 7 ft. high of Covenant bodies and large chunks of debris. Rigginson ran to the other side where all 5 of his men were resting and listening for more gunfire. Mick tapped one of his team members on the shoulder. "Wha!" Pvt. 1st Class Jimmy Plingfield swung around and pulled the trigger of his MA5B assault rifle. "Click." A very pissed off Sergeant Rigginson faded back into view. "Damn it son! What the hell is wrong with you?! You could of killed me, you are so lucky your rifle ran out of ammo!", yelled Rigginson. "Good to see you too Sarge!", yelled Jimmy. All of the team stood up and saluted the Sergeant; Pvt. 1st Class Jimmy Plingfield, Specialist Dan Morble, Pvt. E2 Jacob Kline, Corporal Nate Poregood, and Pvt. Billy Mohak. "At ease men, what happened here exactly? Why did I hear an explosion?", questioned Rigginson.
"Well sir, we arrived in the central core earlier than planned and we came across heavy resistance. Apparently they were expecting us. We fought off what we could but they kept on coming, we decided to make a barricade out of what we could for cover but they started to close in on us. Our only option was to use a fourth of our C4 to buy us some time, hence the rather large explosion. We sent Dan up to place it inside one of the exhaust manifolds so it wouldn't blow up the whole ship but so it was enough for the Covenant to have other things to deal with besides us.", explained Jacob. "Good work men, but now it's time to finish the mission, Billy!", yelled Rigginson. "Yes sir!" "Go out there and tell me what we're dealing with.", ordered Sergeant Rigginson. "Sir, yes sir!", replied Pvt. Billy Mohak. Billy locked and loaded his assault rifle and ran out of the cover. "Ahh! There is the human!" "THWIP-BOOM!!BREEE-PHOOM!Phoom-phoom-phoom-phoom!" "I'm chuckin' one!" "Get down!" "Fsssss-BLAM!!" "Bwahahaha!!" "Kill it!" "Phoom-phoom-phoom-phoom!THWIP-BOOM!!BLAM!!" "Yay!! Kill the human!! Billy ran back behind the barricade, panting and very tired. He fell back onto the bodies. "Yes sir.... they still love us.", panted Pvt. Mohak. Rigginson chuckled and replied, "Well what are we dealing with exactly?" "Well, let's see. About 2 dozen Hunters, 45 assorted Elites, 100 Grunts, and 10 Jackals.", said Billy. "This is just great, this wasn't supposed to take this long sir!", said Corporal Poregood. "You're a genius, you know that Corporal?", snapped Mick.
