As captain Tilkon walked on to the bridge he was nearly knocked over by one of his crew. "SIR we have multiple covenant vessels approaching our position,"
"Well bring the ship to red alert I want soldiers readied and defensive positions created," "Roger that Sir," and his crewmate went to his station and began to alert the people he had too.
There were 4 ships in this small fleet and they would face these covenant ships to the end. Captain Tilkon was in charge of the ship 'Roosevelt'. "Sir they are within firing range," "Fire up the main cannons and open fire on them," This fleet consisted of 1 halcyon ship and 3 fereon class cruisers. "Sir the Halcyon ship is under attack," In space the ship had a hull breach on its right side. On the Halcyon, " SIR we have covenant on decks 9 and 12 and I think a landing crew has just landed on deck 3. Meanwhile in space the battle raged on the Halcyon was an easy target but the Roosevelt and their ships were putting up a better fight. On the Roosevelt, "Sir we have a hull breach on deck 8 and a covenant landing crew on deck 11 but our marines have contained their boarding parties," "Well done crewmen get more marines to key positions like engineering and here the bridge," "Already done sir,"
But still the battle continued as the Roosevelt and her counterparts launched their fighters, which took out the covenant fighter, which were causing huge problems for the ships. One covenant ship had been destroyed but the human's Halcyon ship had been captured and the other ships had no choice and destroyed it. Meanwhile on the Roosevelt's decks a massive firefight was taking place. Men sacrificing their lives to defend their fellow man. "Private cover that hallway god dam it," and the private was shot dead a second later while the blood poured from his head and his brain splattered all over the deck floors. "Holy crap Sarge their killin us here," "Marine shut your ass up and fire that god dam weapon,"
Another ship was destroyed and there were only 2 human ships left to fight. "Open communications with the other ship," commanded captain Tilkon "Yes Sir," And Tilkon talked to the other ship "We have to make a blind jump we can't hold out much longer," "Roger that we need ten more minutes," "Ten more minutes, this thing is going to be over in 2 minutes get on it,"
Things worsened the other ship had taken considerable damage. One crewmember on the other ship was just running through one of the passages when suddenly a huge tremor and in a split second a huge chunk of metal smashed her head through and blood splattered everywhere. One of the fighters outside lost control of his fighter and smashed into the right side of the Roosevelt. "SIR we have a huge hull breach, Simkon's fighter has smashed through our right side what should I do we have fires affecting other decks," "Crewman I want you to lock off all affected areas and vacuum them," "But SIR," "Do it or we will lose the hole ship," and so he did as ordered and 80 crewmembers were washed away in a second but it put out the flames and saved the ship. But finally the other mighty warship was destroyed and all the crew perished in the explosion. All the fighters were recalled and the ship got ready for a light speed jump. "Crew Prepare for jump," and so the ship vanished into space but the covenant closely followed.
The Roosevelt arrived in a random system but a huge amount of covenant fighters were there and a ship close by. The Roosevelt fired everything it had and easily wiped out the covenant fighters and the covenant ship backed off. " Sir damage reports were bad and we are down quite badly on marines a lot of them were killed," "Well get repair crews to work and get our weapons back online," Meanwhile covenant ships were approaching the Roosevelt. "SIR ships are nearly at firing range," "Fire the main cannon and launch all fighters and I want all marines fighting this time," "Everything sir," "EVERYTHING," The Covenant launched their fighters at the Roosevelt. "Intensify forward fire power I don't want anything to get through," "TOO LATE," and with that a covenant fighter smashed through the bridge window and the ship was destroyed and the remaining fighters were wiped out like a group of grunts against the master chief.
