Halo: The MCconto Chronicles Part 3

3rd Part
"this is the GHD Psamtik II! We are 4 lightyears away from Sol III! We are in heavy attack by 2 covenant Destroyers! --- we need assistance!!---- subsystems are dropping!--- Weapons are failing! We need-------covenant are boarding our ship, they are reaching for the Head Bridge, ------- we have closed ourselves in for protection! We are ----- cut off in anything we have! Please, we need help! Now! The covenants are breaking through the door! Help us! -------- Aaaaaaaaaahhh!!! BOOM! (bullets plasma bots hit the captain and the others, over, as the Hunters kill all the people in the Head Bridge, and the Autodestruction of the Destroyer was counting off, and exploding the Destroyer when the Covenant tryed to fled it to move back to the Covenant Battleship.
The galaxy was emptying as the covenant fought ships and fighters, as they kept winning.
Debris of vast ships flew in space, a sign of the destruction of the ship.
In far, you could hear the battling.
Explosions, subsystems destruction, and the sound of the beam cannons and lasers piercing through ships.
4 lightyears away from Sol III, the Psamtik II got destroyed.
There was a long battle going on there, as the 2 destroyers were circling around the Disabled ship after 2 hours of fighting, who only had his guns to shoot wildly away in the hope to hit something.
Because theyre navigation subsystem was offline, engines were down, communications fell out after the poeple died on Head Bridge, were the Nav and Comm subsystems were on, they could not focus on a target.
Covenant bombers tearing the place up.
All the humans were dead in the ship, due to this long battle, but the covenants had no interest in the ship itself, and they left the ship, and a squadron of bombers launched bombs on the weak points, for critical hits.
The Covenants were rampaging all over plaents, as they won everything.
If you look up in the sky at a planet, you could see, that the 'lights' gone out.
Explosions can be seen even in a planet at night, and planets exploded.
it is a scary view as the Covenants 'put out the lights'.
In a quite rapid rate, the humans lost colony's to the Covenants, something, they worked on for about 25 years to build up, they lost in a few weeks of battle with them.
The humans flooded to 500 planets since 35 years ago, what was ordered by the Galaxian Order recommended by the MC.
now, the covenant put up a full assault around the galaxy to prevent that the humans would reach the homeplanets again.
At local authority's of Earth and Sol I, the broadcasts were full up by this 'breaking news' 24 hours a day.
As they were live broadcasting, telling anything of the covenants return and its assault.
The humans did fight the covenant before, as they putted up the assault to the Capella system, home of 6 covenants homeplanets, and a great view on the other planets surrounding it.
The losses were tremendous, as said before, and they broke off, after 2 long years of fighting. Only the GHD Adamant and the GHT Argo returned aat the Naval Planet Belphegor VII.
The people did not knew anything of this operation, as more things, the Government hide from them.
Galaxial Democracy is a fact.
But only for Earth and surrounding planets. The 3 Sol planets controlled by the humans, had theyre own.
In a desperate attack, the humans sended 6 Destroyers to the point where the most fighting was, at planet Basilisk V. since then, they broke communications with HQ at Sol II.
The situation gone critical.
Any ship in space in the line from the Delta Draconis system to the Epsilon VII system of the humans was getting destroyed. Many planets were taken over allready, and Destroyers were no match to the overpowering of the Covenants.
Although Technology increased the chance to win battles, the Covenant allways sended in everything they got, to defeat the human forces.
There were shot down ships on planets who couldnt make it.
survivors died quickly due to covenant overrunnings, and what was held secret for years, the return of the Covenants, now everyone saw that the Covenant are defeating the humans at every planet and every solar system. Everyone.
At Sol II, Sol I, Naval Yard Planets Pstotle I through VI and Earth, they had the most time preparing.
But the other planets, like Gemini VII, couldnt stand good enough in the combat. at several points each minute a human Destroyer and 4 covenant Cruisers were destroyed, each minute many covenants and humans died in combat.
a full Covenant offensive was spreading like one big frontline. the covenant kept taking planets in a relatively fast rate, and the humans tried to flee from those planets.
Now, the Covenant set eye on Sol III.
As the biggest, one of the strongest, and one of the most important planets in the galaxy, Sol III had messaged, that it was assured, they will hold the covenant off for long.
However the Covenant lost more ships and units, theyre 'Flood strategy' pointed out, that made sure, they would overrun the humans and then could defeat them. They came closer and closer to Sol I and Sol II as well as Earth. Still, that would take about 4 years.
The Covenants themselves were allready preparing and mopping up as they entered the core. Everyone in space retreated to Sol III as they entered.
At Sol III, the Marines could here thar the Covenants Destroyers entered the core, as theyre shield system was at 100% to guard themselves from damaging theyre ships.
The Covenant Destroyers were in the planets core and launched the Elite Pods and now, thousants of covenants pods were raining out of the sky.
Nahema - class covenant transports were carrying hundreds of covenants, and were about to land in the far end of the city, in the 'endless' green fields, facing the city. Banshees were loaded out, ghosts and covenant tanks were driving and flying out of the Nahema Transports.
Around the cities, besides rounds, are these beutiful green fields, about 60 km long, until reaching the next city. But under the ground there are city's too. Building on land and beneith it another city would collapse it n the ground.
The covenant started surrounding the city and planting Light Mortars and besieging the city, while the Ghosts vehicles driving in the city, and Phantoms carrying many covenants were flying over the city and dropped Golden Elites.
The marines were mostly in Warthogs driving to intercept them, and some Grizzly Tanks (next gen standard tanks) and Panda tanks (white and black, carrying 4 mounted guns and 1 anti air cannon and 1 Anti Tank cannon) as well as a very new type of tank, called Aedlus. The Aedlus is fully black, and had a 4 doubled cannons and 8 mounted guns.
The tires they drove on were extra supported by air pressure and Lunar technology, who could it let 'fly' it for about 2 metres in the air.
With this all, the Aedlus is a very manouvrable but very heavy strong tank. 2 cannons are anti air, and the tank can drop anti personnel mines if being followed, or for battle.
but the worst part wasnt even started.
The Covenants were advancing and revealed a new destroyer class: the Moloch Super Destroyer, who is far beyond imagination advanced with 50 lasers in total, including 10 super anti destroyer lasers, 25 anti fast ships lasers, 20 blue lasers, expecially good against attacking bombers, very manouvrable lasers easily tracking bombers, and 5 standby lasers, for all purpose, even launching escape pods.
It is holding Bathalum class bombs, anti Destroyer class, and 120 gun mounts for cannons.
There are flak bombs and flak cannons who easily evaporize enemy fighters. now finally combined with a great shield, this Moloch Super Destroyer is a great advantage in the Covenant Assault. Although few are created at this moment, they are extremely dangerous in space.
The battle started, beginning with the Golden Elites who jumped out of theyre pods as soon as they hit the ground. After the smoke was gone, they tryed to attack the marines who were the closest. Right away, all over the city, golden elites, as well as red and blue elites were beginning rampage all over the place.
Right before MCconto, 12 pods land, and the Golden Elites jumped out.
Activating theyre plasma sword, they surrounded him.
He standed there with his gun, sighed, and them faster than light, he picked up 2 fragmentation grenades throwed them, and then shooting High Explosions out of the AR and jumped away while throwing a smoke grenade, and started shooting in wild where the Elites would have been...
He stopped shooting. And when the smoke was gone, the elites were all teared up.
He survived an attack by 12 elites at once.
But his reflexes were far beyond imagination, as he killed 12 elites in 5 seconds. that was impossible, as he looked to his hands, to his body, to search if he had wings or something. he ran into combat again, screaming 'Charge!!'
He looked around and saw that the marines had a hard time defeating the Elites and were falling back. but when they heared him say thatthey had to charge, they all ran. hundreds of Humans were charging, desperate, to bash up the assault.
There were explosions all over the city. The covenants were advancing slightly, as buildings collapsed due to the damage. Lasers were fired in the air to destroy Banshees.
But they fired lasers too over the city, who were piercing through buildings easily who collapsed and kills everything and everyone in the blast radius, as well damaging other buildings, who on theyre part collapsed.
still more and more Covenants 'raining' out of the sky. And Nahema Class transports delivering more banshees and ghosts, who were boarded and entered the battlefield.
Now, a army of Hunters appearing, surrounding the city, as the Nahema class transport flew away again to pick more men up. the covenant destroyers landed and opened gravity lifts, as now the covenant came faster in the city. some took defence, others charged.
The tide may turn... you cannot defeat them easily.
"Sir, we are getting overrun! We need reinforcements! The covenant are deep in the city and we can not stop them! The police forces here who helped us are failing too and it is assured we will lose the battlefield if we do not get more help!!" A marine said to the Ground HQ. A little later, the reinforcements arived.
"this is GHT Stevedore! We carry 3000 marines and several tanks! Requesting to land!"
GHT Stevedore hailed to HQ, who was in a state of panic. Many marines were calling for backup, and strategy's were failing. What looked good at paper was not going great, and the Stevedore was carrying exactly what they needed the most.
" Roger that GHT Stevedore! You can land at LZ 07, here are the coordinates for landing. Your orders are to find othe fireteams and battlegroups of marines and back them up! ASAP! Ground Control HQ out!"
The marines in the GHT Stevedore jumped out of the transport and at that moment allmost every Marine started to charge, in the knowlegde of being covered. the reinforcements ran to the nearest coverage point. A lot of them moved on top the coordinates to the nearest fire teams. " Here comes the cavalry! Finally! That was about time you guys showed up! But thanks!" a marine said. As they were cornered by 26 Elites. At the LZ, the tanks gathered, and were about to drive through the city as a front. Grizzly tanks were all ready to fight whatever appeared. "We might be able to take them from here!" A marine said, apparently in charge after the sarge's death of this Fireteam. they stayed put at defence, and now, started to assault too. hundreds of marines chraged, while covered by several tanks and 3000 fresh reinforcements.
The covenants gone confused and retreated, while others advanced, but got bashed up. the humans stiked back now.
At highways, covenants gathered, throwing cars away, as grunts were inspecting the car, as some accidentaly pushed on she gas and they gone 150 miles per hour over he highways over the city, while a grunt tested the claxon, and it crashed later. as very funny it was, just as serious that the covenant were holding the city. the covenant elites and jackals gathered, and form a large group.
The covenants made an sort of HQ, in a sheltered building. where the covenants were dropped, and the sinister group of Prophets showed up again, giving orders, giving tactics, and battle positions.
A grunt was running towards the leader of the Prophets with a message. " Lord Astaroth! I got a message!" The grunt said.
"Ah?" the leader of the prophets said, while looking the other way with a sinister voice as allways, then turned around and looked at the grunt.
Give it to me, then, expecially if its urge. " The Prophet said, beginning to get more and more mysterious, what made the Grunt flinched. (aii!!the grunt screamed, gasping for air, but standing at his feet))
"This is a nice planet, but, as the humans say, time is money." The prophet said, what made the grunt very scared.
"Of course, its not money we are interested in, but, the destruction of mankind." He said.
The grunt gave him the message quickly nd ran away. and it could be seen in the eyes of him, that the message was very pleasing.
The massage said, that they were advancing all over the city, and that the humans were falling back.
This message was made, before the Stevedore appeared.
So they did not expect, the humans now advanced quickly.
The 5000 marines advancing all over the city, and now, it was the covenant who fall back.
The covenants gathered and moved back to HQ, and then gone into defensive positions.
Stationary guns were placed, and they were preparing themselves fast.
MCconto started the assault and saw all this happen, as they approached the position.
He picked us 2 fragmentation grenades and threw them at the most vital place of the covenants.
The 2 explosions were critical for the morale and the defence of the Covenant.
Stationary guns were flipped aside by the blast, and the humans were storming in as they bashed the covenants down.
Another transport/cruiser Adamant was landing at LZ 05, carrying 5000 marines.
right after the landing, they covered all the main defences, as advancing from cover to cover every 30 seconds,
until they had secured half of the city.
At the other half, the covenants were fighting with the still advancing humans.
As they reached a top point watching over a great part of the city, they flinched.
Thousants of elites and hunters were marching up, a great army, and hundreds of Banshees flew over.
Many of them now stepped on a Ghost and drove towards the marines, who were going into defence, while calling for all air support there was available in the city and around it..

ADDED BY WRITER: sorry about any grammar problems you might encounter... I worked a lot in making it as good as it can.... Part 4 is going to get even greater than this! Enjoy!
Of course I am happy that you may enjoyed my story. I am really trying hard to make it good, as good as I can. More parts will come as soon as I can, but until now, please give your comments about this!
