-- AS TOLD BY HUNTER_KILLER --

1037 Hours, November 6th, 2003(Military Calendar)/
Inside Covenant Cruiser Truth & Reconciliation,
Inside HPC

My vision returned to me, and we were in the right spot. "Ok, guys. We made it in. Now for the tough part."
Cortana said over radio, "No covenant defenses detected."
"No Covenant?" Asked a familiar Marine. "Think maybe nobody's home?"
"No, a lot of em are home, and in about 3 seconds we will be grinded upon by a huge strike force. So I'd suggest BATTLE FORMATION, Teams!" I yelled, and we each ran to a door.
7 of us were covering each of them. Though I calculated that in about ten seconds, our ranks would be a lot thinner. Like cut in half probably.
We heard the RING! from the first door, and raised our modded weapons. I prepped my Shotgun Pistol.
The door to the left side of us opened, and out roared a Golden Elite with a Plasma Sword and a temper, along with a load of his underlings. "Fire!" Yelled CoLd, and all hell broke loose over there.
RING! The door across from us. Agent Shade yelled, "Charge!" And the two forces impacted.
RING! This time, it was our door. When it opened, I had a face fulla Buckshot ready n' waiting for Goldielocks and the Three Stooges behind him. And so did Mendoza, who was carrying a normal Shotgun and was beside me.
RING! The last door revealed the same compliment; Gold Elite, 3 Grunts and a Jackal or two.
On Legendary, in the real world, this battle can be a top candidate for 'Hardest Battle of Level'. That ain't nuthin compared to twenty-five minutes of PURE AGONY at the Grav-Lift. I swear to god, If I ever catch 343, I'll find a way to kill that little blue orb, and it'll probably involve a 120mm Shaped-Charge Rocket, a hot browning iron, and 600,000,000,000 volts of direct current!
The battle was almost over now; just another wave and we could open the door leading to the place where the Marines stay put and wait for the HBOers to open the door from the other side. Great! Just what we needed. To have our ranks further sapped.
At my door, it was down to me and a Commander Elite. Western showdown music started playing on the ship, and everyone (including the remaining Covies) stopped to watch. The only sound was the Plasma Sword humming menacingly.
I shoved a clip into my Modded AR, and pulled back the safety. The elite raised his Sword. He dove for me, but I ducked just in time. The sword passed within Centimeters of my head, ruined my helmet, and gave me a premature haircut. "700,000,000,000 volts," I muttered, as I dived out of an uppercut.
I shot it 6 times in "Sniper Mode" in its... vulnerable area. With a roar, it went down. The remains of my door group began to spread out and assist the others.
After the battle, the big door opened, revealing two Gold Jackals. After a shitload o' Gold Elites +underlings, you can guess how easily we dealt with Dumb and Dumber.
We did the whole "We'd be sittin ducks in that narrow space." Thing, and the Marines held position. All the HBOers went back up the ramp.
"Ok, I got a plan. You know that active Camo that you pick up before going in the halls? I read a |337 article saying if two of us get it at the same time, we both get the Camo, Yo. Me and Walker will move ahead and take out as many Covenant as we can, while invisible. If you hear weapons fire, or a message from us, move up ASAP."
      "Got it," Everyone said simultaneously.
It was tricky, and required a few "revert to save"s, but eventually we both got the Camo on, and the HBOers moved into the hallway. We went ahead, and proceeded to bonk the hell out of everything taller than me(remember, I'm 5' tall, 11 Years old. I can look a Grunt eye ter eye! I can barely see over the damn dashboard on my 'Hog! I'm blown back 8 feet when ever I fire a Jackhammer!)
The Elite went down, and just at that moment, our Camos ran out. Fortunately, everything was dead. "HBOers, move up. All clear," I said over the Comm. Channels.
The doors BEEPed, and out thundered our Six fellow HBOers, weapons at ready. We approached the door to the small hanger, and I gave the signal to stop. "Alpha, don't you have that AR that shoots tank rounds?"
      "Yah..."
"Move up and BLOW THE LIVING HELL out of anything in that hanger, ASAP. We'll cover you."
BOO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-OO-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O-M!!!!! The Massive explosion temporarily blinded the single remaining Grunt.
The body of a Dead Elite, which had been tumbled in the air worse than a bead of sweat in an aerobic teacher's buttock cleavage, landed on the Grunt, squishing it.
"Damn," I said, "Those grunts REALLY ARE unfortunate little buggers."
