"I thus that am bored," griped Private Alexander of Blue Squadron. "This station of the duty sucks absolutely. If we really to see the action, we are only fire of long scale MA5B and nothing he really happens." "Pair the griping, Corporal Tucker," returned Sergeant Smith. "I more do not have the patience for it for much time." "Sorry, Sir, but it is true." "The attributed duties you get are not presumptions to serve the necessities, soldier." "Yes, sir."
Private Alexander checked his watch. It was just after 6:30 in the morning. Breakfast time according to Smith, sleeping time according to everyone else. Alexander removed his helmet and scooped some of the soup into his cup. This morning, it was vegetable soup, and for the first time in a while, it was actually rather good...just not for breakfast. He ate the entire cup full, then cleaned it, placing it back into his pack.
BOOOOM!
Alexander was so shocked by the noise that he dropped his helmet, bending one of the sun blockers.
"What happen!!" shouted Sergeant Smith of the Blue Squadron. "Somebody set us up the bomb!" yelled a frightened crewman. "No! Somebody played us one grenade!" Alexander hollered. "Mount to the attack, gentlemen!"
Once again, Battle Creek Outpost #14 would be riddled with the crackling of automatic weapons, the barks of sniper rifles, and the booms of fragmentation grenades.
--------
Private Hardy fired the first shot as the MJOLNIR-clad blue soldiers began to pour out of the base. A private lost half of his face as the slug pierced his visor and tore through the right section of his forehead.
Podman stuck his M90 shotgun into the entrance and fired two shells into an oncoming private. Due to the range of the bursts, the private was forced back into the wall, falling to the stone floor in a crumpled heap. Podman buried the butt of the rifle into another's head, then switched to his assault rifle and moved into the base. He was followed by Private Williams, who covered his six.
"Covers the lateral exits!' barked the lieutenant, strapping his SR to his back and whipping out his MA5B. "It scales above of the wall behind us and is moved around!"
Hardy and his men immediately stood up and began climbing the sheer rock wall behind them. If they fell, it was a forty foot drop. Hardy was the first to reach the top. He turned and helped Smith, Jenkins, and the Lieutenant reach the top, then reloaded both of his weapons. Smith and Jenkins were promptly ordered to circle around and cover the right side entrance.
Podman decended into the blue-white mist and his visor quickly adjusted to suit the new lighting. He peered around the next wall and saw two blue privates kneeling, rocket launchers pointed foreward. Williams and Podman dove out of the way just before they fired.
"Lieutenant, the blue ones has throwers of the rocket inside here!" Podman shouted into the radio. He rolled over, emptying his clip into a private that had just ran around the corner. The soldier's life left him just as he was about to discharge his shotgun into Podman's face. His dead body fell foreword, landing inches from him, and Podman scrambled away from it. "I hear!" the lieutenant shouted back. "Eliminates the feeders, but one certifies the alive sojourns of sergeant!"
Podman made a mental note to not shoot at the only one with regulation blue armor as he wiped the blood of of his visor. Jordan appeared behind him, gripping a few grenades and a Needler.
"Where you get that one started?" Williams turned and whispered in surprise. "Command emitted it below some days has," Jordan replied with some satisfaction. "I kept it in my locker of the foot." "Right, now pole it around the wall above there and fire!" Podman ordered. "Yes, 'sir'!"
Jordan crept up to the corner, stuck his needler around the wall, and emptied a whole clip. There was the sound of needles ricocheting off the stone wall. Jordan chanced a glance around the corner and saw that there was no one there. Two rockets screamed out from separate sides of the base, flew inches from Williams' head, and penetrated Jordan's armor with a catastrophic explosion.
Podman jumped up, wielding both his MA5B and M90. He and Williams stood far apart, looking for the blues that had killed their comrade. They heard a rough voice shout out to them.
"It gives it above, soldiers. If you to leave to fall its weapons, us we will not blow it to the bits." "Skirt where I can seeing!" Podman cried out bravely. "Waits" said a familiar voice behind them.
The lieutenant and his men were inside the base. He, Hardy, Smith, and Jenkins all hurried toward them, rifles aimed straight ahead.
"I know that voice," said the blue sergeant. He openly walked out in front of the red soldiers who all had weapons pointed at his head. He removed his helmet. Podman gasped.
"Hello, Grif," said the blue sergeant.
