"Ok, everybody got there flashlights?"

"Stop the tape", said General Haskins."Alright Chief, you know what you have to do. Find out whatever happened to those men." "Yes general."
"Alright, this is where we drop you off."
"Thank you sarge", said the chief.
Master Chief drove his warthog to the dark doorway of the unknown building.
When he got out of the vehicle he saw a chopped of hand lying on the ground. He put his flashlight on.
"What's with these ringplanets. Every goddamn facility has to be as dark as hell!"
MC stepped on something squishy. "What the...". It was the head of one of the missing soldiers. He walked further and entered the next room. MC put of his helmet and puked. It was horrible. Everywhere he looked there were bodies with no legs or no arms and heads sticked to the ceiling. Even the Flood would'nt do this. Then he would have at least met some of them.
MC heard footsteps slowly behind him. He turned around with his shotgun in his hand. Nothing. "I should go deeper into the building", thought MC. He went to the next hallway.
A crossroad. He went down until he got to a door."Cortana..."
"The door's encrypted with a code. Hmmm... it's almost the same as in the controlroom." "So this building is not Covenant?" "No, it's...yes it's Forerunners alright. No doubt about. But it's much, much older then the controlroom.
Ah, i got." The door opened. "Were here." MC walked towards the controlpanel. He put Cortana's chip in it.
"Oh my god." "What is it?" "All this information. This is exactly what we need. With all this , we could defeat all Covenant in no time." "What are you talking about."
"I knew there was something different about it", said Cortana."It's bigger then the others. This is...This is...
"This is what?!" "This is the source of all Halo's. THIS is where it all began."
"Yes, I now have the power to control Halo. Hell, with this i could make the Flood stop killing. I could let them die."
"Then do it!"
"I don't now, i can also tap in to the Covenants main battle net from here. And our battle net."
"What are you...no, no Cortana, were trying to save Earth here not helping the Covenant. What are you thinking."
"You can't stop me"
"YES, i can.!"
"Well, actually, i can shut you down whenever i want."
"What the hell is happening to you, Cortana."
"You should'nt have come."
"What the..."
Chief turned around. He saw a shadow standing in the distance. "Show yourself!"
"I see your girlfriend has gone mad."
"She's not my girlfriend."
"Then it's probably okay that i shut her down."
"What..Cortana." He turned around and saw a message with system shutdown on it.
"You know, we Forerunners don't really like visitors."
"Forerunners..wait..did you kill all those soldiers?"
"As i said, we don't like visitors. But your special. You actually have a purpose."
"And what's that than."
"To kill all Covenant and those damned Flood. And all you have to do is press the big yellow button on the control panel." Chief turned around. He hesitated. "What will happen if i...?!" The shadow was gone. "Damnit. Well here goes nothing. MC pressed the button. Nothing happened. "Oh man." He took Cortana's chip out of the controlpanel. "I'm sorry, Chief. I just flipped." "Oh forget about it."
The next morning, the Chief woke up. He looked around. "What the...Cortana?"
"Chief, everything's...gone...vaporised."
"Everything?"
"Everything in a radius of 4500000 lightyears...is gone."
No, no, no, no! How could let this happen, Goddamnit!
Everything...Covenant, Flood, Human...All gone. Nothing to fight. Nothing to have war with.
Oh, c'mon it's not that bad.
Yeah, try and ease the pain, all is gone and it's all my fault.

That stupid Forerunner guy said that if i push the big yellow button every enemy would vaporise.
