marines nightmare *part 1*
*these accounts follow the story of private kennedy,the insane marine from 343 guilty spark.this story will cover his entire stay on halo leading up to his end during his final hours in the swamp surrounded structure.
private kennedy was tying his shoe as his sqaud leader, sargeant mc.coy, walked down the ramp from the loading bay.the hum activity sounded from outside.the pillar of autumn had just pulled out of hyper space and the marines were still stiff from their cryo freeze."attention marines!"barked the sargeant "apparently we got ourselves half of the covenent armada right behind us,and now its our job to finish what the fly boys started.so when we meet those scumbag sons of a bitches on solid ground we will fill them with a belly of lead and leave em to drown in their own pools of blood laughing.....AM I RIGHT MARINES?"
"SIR YES SIR"came the obediant responce.
"mmhhm damn right I am.now move it out double time!"said mc.coy as the marines ran into the hanger.they followed the sargeant to the side exit in to the ships halls.kennedy was going over the speech mc.coy had just given them.solid ground.he must have been refering to the ring kennedy had herd about from some of the crew.but they were going to land on that thing?kennedy looked at keyes with a high respect but he though keyes might have gone to far this time.the sound of the loud siren over the ships intercom speakers snapped him back to reality.the sound of the ships AI sounded over the intercom "Covenent have entered the ship.all military sqauds head for your after stations."
"you hear that men?we got ourselves a teaparty here.lets show those alien assholes whos the boss"the sargeant called back from the front of the marines.the marines cheer in responce.kennedy gave a half hearted cheer.he hated covenent but he didnt want to kill.back on earth before he had join the UNSC forces,he had been a nice guy.he had never had a reason to fight with anyone or anything.he had ofcourse followed the battles in the papers like everyone else on earth.it was not till he was seventeen did he join.his father had made him.told him something about "family pride" and making him proud.he still had second thoughts when he was signing the papers for signup.coming back to the world around him,he quickly checked his assault rifle and pistol to make sure they were full and continued to move with his sqaud.they had swept several hallways searching for covenent but it was not until 10 minutes later did they hear the sounds of plasma fire and cries for help.as they came around the corner they saw several techs hiding behind some portable shields that had been moved from the ships cargo hold.the marines instantly laided down cover fire on the firing grunts and jackels as the techs raced to the marines.as one of the techs told the sargeant that the covenent had blown open one of the escape pod hatches and entered the ship, the had begun to fire on the techs."ok marines give these techs some firearms."said mc.coy as the marines handed over their side pistols.kennedy handed over his gun to a tech in a blue jumpsuit.the tech took it with shaking hands.kennedy quickly showed him how to reload and handed him some extra rounds."OK PEOPLE LETS SHOW THE FUCKERS SOME REAL COMBAT!"roared mc.coy as both techs and marines opened fired.taken by surprise at the sudden attack the grunts jumped with fright.this was short lived though as they quickly fired back.the fire fight lasted 5 minutes but it was still enough to take the life of one tech.kennedy headed over to the marine he had helped.the tech was shaking head to toe.kennedy patted him on the back and said "we'll make a soldier out of you yet".the tech gave a small smile.as they all moved to a escape pod.kennedy tripped as an explosion occured.he put his hands over his head as he wimpered.then he felt a strong hand lift him up.it was an elite though kennedy.he was done for.but instead of throwing him back into the hall to finish him,he was pushed into the escape pod.as he strapped himself into the seat,kennedy looked up.standing there in the pods entrance was a tall figure.it was the masterchief.the last remaining spartan-II.instead of sitting,the chief held onto a handhold on the roof and hit the button to seal the door shut."glad to have you abord master chief" said the pilot.with a sudden jerk,the pod was jetesined from the ship.as they sped toward the ring,kennedy looked under the arm of the chief to see the pillar of autumn in flames."by god..."muttered kennedy as a marine wimpered in fear.he knew there had been tons of covenent on the ship but not enough to bring it down."shes been hit!"came the cry from the marine opposite to kennedy.kennedy continued to look through the strong glass.the ship,flaming in several areas, was flying directly towards the ring.the pod shuddered as the massive ship flew overhead."entering the rings atmosphere in 10....9.....8....7....6....5...4...3...2....1"said the pilot as the ship was grabbed by the brute force of gravity.the last thing kennedy remembered before he blacked out was the chief standing strong holding onto the sides of the pod.even though kennedy couldnt see past the chiefs reflective protective visor,kennedy somehow knew the spartans face was grim....
*authors note*:ya this is my first time publishing on h.b.o so ya.the next part with be longer so keep checking back.oh and please send me your thoughts on the story.
